Does anyone else notice that personal income (in green) has also dropped steadily since 2021?
I haven’t tried this one, but it seems logical. Now does it have a purpose?
This list sounds like it has shifted almost entirely to economic and social concerns. Health and social security, along with economic situation seem like economic concerns. And nobody near the bottom rungs can afford housing or even rent on an apartment.
What could go wrong? Also why would an Internet search engine be releasing mosquitos in California to “Help Stop Disease”?
I’m not sure I agree with this list entirely especially around pain management. Also what treatments or therapies would be used to replace what was used before?
Then again we did lose the plot on the whole healing the sick thing:
I agree 100%. I’ve developed a heavy preference for vehicles which start with the year 19.
AI generated content usually rests on ridiculously narrow assumptions with little variability. For example here’s what substack’s image generator gives me for “Woman superhero”
Almost every image is identical to this: a white, very attractive woman in a skintight suit with a cape and an S. But why can’t woman superheroes look like this?
The images are also all near identical for that specific prompt, but there’s more variability in race. But why can’t women superheroes look like that? Or this?
In the above case I had to put “Old” in the prompt for wife, as the first set of images showed an older man looking at a woman much younger appearing than him. For me generating AI content is better for testing the assumptions embedded in the system. I don’t see any imagination in it. But what do you all think?
Releasing a scorpion on our land. Apparently they eat a lot of things that feed on rice in paddies so it is considered good luck. I also discovered that scorpions really are water creatures as this guy was stuck in a plastic cup which filled with water during an overnight rainfall and he was perfectly fine in the morning.
And don’t mind the incongruent dress and makeup. We were attending the funeral of a village elder a little later that morning. May he rest in peace.
We’re off to get some blueprints from the land office to try to come up a design and building permit. None of the tiny pre manufactured homes we’ve looked at have been a good fit at all (most have also been overpriced for what they are: a single room with bathroom 20 feet by 10 feet total area rectangle, for example, for around $5000). I’m still wondering why no one uses bamboo as a construction material up here.
Happy Full moon…

I had no idea Substack has an image generator! Will have to find out about that! Good luck on permits, etc.
Hi Amy, long time no bug you! The old man seems to be sitting by his old wife while staring, amused, at the window...
Nice scorpion you have there! All the best to you all.
