Checking in On Some Covid True Believers
They Seem to Agree that Those in Power Want to Kill Us. They Just Think it's Through Not Wearing Facemasks and Withholding "Good" Covid Vaccines
For the last few days I’ve been busy with edits and publishes for a number of corporations (today it was PayPal, MGM Resorts, Zillow Group and DoorDash among others). What has struck me on these earnings calls is the degree with which they sound like business as usual. Covid is not mentioned anymore in almost any context. The capital market flows have moved on to the next grift, which appears to be monetizing carbon capture and credits. Yet Energy Transfer partners made the odd admission that oil demand globally is at the highest level it has ever been. It’s almost like these renewable energy solutions make the problem worse, but they sure make a lot of money doing it.
The news still sometimes throws a bone to the Covid cultists and recent threads on BringBackMasks, CovidisAirborne, LongCovid and CovidIsn’tOver were still active with some true believers. For me this was very depressing, of course. The rich got richer, people are still dying in excess numbers and the devastation of the Covid response will play through the system for decades, presuming we live that long. The Bad Guys got away with it.
As Jordan Schachtel writes:
Anthony Fauci is a worldwide celebrity and has taken up a prestigious series of appointments at Georgetown University and elsewhere.
Bill Gates and the gang are jet setting around the world preaching the gospel of the Climate Hoax Church.
The C suite executives and boards of directors at Pfizer and Moderna remain unscathed.
Most of the appointees to the Trump and Biden coronavirus task forces have long since cashed out and laundered their credentials through the revolving door and into the BioTech/Big Pharma space.
And the list goes on.
So it shouldn't come as much as a surprise that they’re trying to restart the party to attempt another series of grand slams
The Pharma-sponsored corporate media is once more spreading the fear hype.
“Time to bring [masks] out again especially as the school season starts,” read the MSNBC headline Tuesday morning.
An entire segment on Tuesday from ABC’s Good Morning America was dedicated to tracking supposed increasing hospitalizations from coronavirus infections, warning that the numbers are “on the rise.”
I’m sorry to break it to the True Believer useful idiots who still triple mask or whatever, but Covid isn’t coming back. Your co-religionists have largely moved on to whatever the next Current Thing is.
Despite that, the bad guys of the Covid hysteria era never faced any consequences for the human rights atrocities they committed since 2019. And in all likelihood, they probably never will.
They have never been held remotely accountable for being wrong and especially for behaving with complete disregard for the unalienable rights of the 8 billion human beings who populate our world. Therefore, this very ruling class faction, with its insatiable appetite for power, will never stop attempting to have their way with our civilization. They’re currently throwing bumper sticker narratives at the dart board and seeing what sticks. And with the Slava Slush Fund became increasingly unpopular, they have yet to find a new long term winning ticket, for now at least.
Kit Knightly of the OffGuardian wrote an excellent piece on Why You Should Not Trust the Science regarding mask studies:
This has nothing to do with the “pandemic”, and everything to do with the difference between science and “The Science”. So let’s examine that distinction.
“Science” is an approach to the world. A rational method for gathering information, testing new ideas and forming evidence-based conclusions.
“The Science” is a self-sustaining industry of academics who need jobs and owe favours.
An ongoing quid pro quo relationship between the researchers – who want honors and knighthoods and tenure and book deals and research grants and to be the popular talking head explaining complex ideas to the multitudes on television – and the corporations, governments and “charitable foundations” who have all of those things in their gift.
This system doesn’t produce research intended to be read, it creates headlines for celebrities to tweet, links for “journalists” to embed, sources for other researchers to cite.
An illusion of solid substantiation that comes apart the moment you actually read the words, examine the methodology or analyse the data.
Self-reporting surveys, manipulated data, “modelling studies” that spit-out pre-ordained results. Affiliated-authors paid by the state or corporate interests to provide “evidence” that supports highly profitable or politically convenient assumptions.
This mask study is the perfect example of that.
Interlacing layers of nothing designed to create the impression of something.
That’s why they want you to trust it, rather than read it.
I enjoyed the article but was saddened greatly by the most recent comment to it:

“Now, we don’t need to get into the personal liberty implications of such a law, or the near-infinite supply of evidence that masks don’t work to prevent the transmission of respiratory disease.”
Yes, we do need to go there. Let’s be more specific: we do need to go into the fact that your personal liberty to infect other people with a deadly contagious disease should be reduced as much as possible at all times. In fact, even calling it a liberty reflects clear signs of psychopathic tendencies on your part, as the liberty to kill does not exist, generally speaking.
On that “near-infinite supply of evidence”, yes, there is a near-infinite supply of rubbish on the Internet, and a near-infinite supply of idiots that have a burning desire to appear clever by aping the words of smart people, that will absorb that rubbish because they really are incapable of understanding the detail. That’s why it’s important to inform idiots that they really are stupid and should not trust their own judgement, and that the Internet really wants to kill stupid people. Any idiot that wishes to live should reduce as much as possible their exposure to the Internet and mass media of all sorts.
Yikes. This person seems clearly beyond help. They went into a projection of self loathing onto others, repeating verbatum the most nefarious talking points from the height of the pandemic, and unironically stated that the liberty to kill does not exist. It certainly does if you’re doing the kind of killing GloboCorp approves of. Intentionally lying and causing the death of hundreds of thousands or millions for your own enrichment is okay.
Is there a way to get through to people this thick headed? I tried in my response:

I find it interesting that an article admonishing people to read the science used to reach conclusions was so clearly not read by you.

I would follow your own advice post haste! Live long and prosper!
The capital flows are setting the narrative.Although this was written in 2021 I thought it gave an excellent overview of the reasons capital shut down the world for Covid. Fabio Vighi writes:
Only those who are unfamiliar with the wondrous adventures of GloboCap can delude themselves into thinking that the system chose to shut down out of compassion. Let us be clear from the start: the big predators of oil, arms, and vaccines could not care less about humanity…
At the heart of our predicament lies an insurmountable structural impasse. Debt-leveraged financialization is contemporary capitalism’s only line of flight, the inevitable forward-escape route for a reproductive model that has reached its historical limit. Capitals head for financial markets because the labour-based economy is increasingly unprofitable. How did we get to this?
The answer can be summarised as follows: 1. The economy’s mission to generate surplus-value is both the drive to exploit the workforce and to expel it from production. This is what Marx called capitalism’s “moving contradiction”.[1] While it constitutes the essence of our mode of production, this contradiction today backfires, turning political economy into a mode of permanent devastation. 2. The reason for this change of fortune is the objective failure of the labour-capital dialectic: the unprecedented acceleration in technological automation since the 1980s causes more labour-power to be ejected from production than (re)absorbed. The contraction of the volume of wages means that the purchasing power of a growing part of the world population is falling, with debt and immiseration as inevitable consequences. 3. As less surplus-value is produced, capital seeks immediate returns in the debt-leveraged financial sector rather than in the real economy or by investing in socially constructive sectors like education, research, and public services.
I think it’s even worse than that. The jobs that are left are generally in service to capital, so to get ahead you have to enforce an essentially anti human agenda.
The bottom line is that the paradigm shift underway is the necessary condition for the (dystopian) survival of capitalism, which is no longer able to reproduce itself through mass wage-labour and the attendant consumerist utopia. The pandemic agenda was dictated, ultimately, by systemic implosion: the profitability downturn of a mode of production which rampant automation is making obsolete. For this immanent reason, capitalism is increasingly dependent on public debt, low wages, centralisation of wealth and power, a permanent state of emergency, and financial acrobatics.
The economic motif of the Covid whodunit must be placed within a broader context of social transformation. If we scratch the surface of the official narrative, a neo-feudal scenario begins to take form. Masses of increasingly unproductive consumers are being regimented and cast aside, simply because Mr Global no longer knows what to do with them. Together with the underemployed and the excluded, the impoverished middle-classes are now a problem to be handled with the stick of lockdowns, curfews, mass vaccination, propaganda, and the militarisation of society, rather than with the carrot of work, consumption, participatory democracy, social rights (replaced in collective imagination by the civil rights of minorities), and ‘well-earned holidays.’
All this fearmongering continues today, despite the easing of some measures. To understand why, we should return to the economic motif. As noted, several trillions of newly printed cash have been created with a few clicks of a mouse by central banks and injected into financial systems, where they have in great part remained. The aim of the printing-spree was to plug calamitous liquidity gaps. Most of this ‘magic-tree money’ is still frozen inside the shadow banking system, the stock exchanges, and various virtual currency schemes that are not meant to be used for spending and investment. Their function is solely to provide cheap loans for financial speculation. This is what Marx called ‘fictitious capital’, which continues to expand in an orbital loop that is now completely independent of economic cycles on the ground.
The bottom line is that all this cash cannot be allowed to flood the real economy, for the latter would overheat and trigger hyperinflation. And this is where Virus continues to come in handy. If it initially served to “insulate the real economy” (to quote again from the BIS paper), it now oversees its tentative reopening, characterized by submission to the vaccination dogma and chromatic methods of mass regimentation, which may soon include climate lockdowns.
Climate lockdowns are the latest hysteria, but in this clown world the competing narratives are coming so fast and furious that it is hard to make sense of them. The England is having an unusually cool summer versus Global Boiling has Set in in Europe seems to be a case in point. The weather where I am seems a bit cooler than normal, but is far from alarming in any direction.
I decided to check out the twitter profiles of a few ardent pro maskers, one pro Covid vaxxer, one long Covid surviver and one who demands Trump get locked in jail immediately (I have not accepted Trump as my Lord and Savior and think Mr. Operation Warp Speed simply plays the heel for the uniparty). They all appeared to be real people who were not in any way compensated for believing what they believe. What I was blown away by was that many on other issues could easily have been my friends. The Oregon rock enthusiast shared beautiful nature photos and talked about struggles working for low pay. She wanted more affordable health care and believed that Novavax was being withheld because authorities don’t care if people die.
The anti Trump author made a joke about it being 1000 degrees outside and how her eggs all fried in the carton on the way back from the grocery store. The very pro mask Filipino was all about rampant corruption in politics where he was, and he frequently shared opinions of anti mask friends which I often agreed with. But in the end he masked up because he doesn’t want more Covid, and lamented how those who don’t wear the mask will be sorry when they’re in a hospital struggling to breathe. For me the struggle to breathe would be from the facemask so I wouldn’t go there if they required one. Beyond that since I have basically never wore a facemask and might have had Covid in July of 2022, I’d never even consider that I got it this time because I’m not wearing a facemask. It wouldn’t enter my thought process.
What was sad and overwhelming was the degree with which these true believers were on a negative feedback loop which can simply never be falsified. If they get Covid, or have long Covid, or didn’t get Covid today, or are sick right now, it always fits their pro mask pro jab standpoint. They weren’t wearing a mask that day, or they didn’t get the right vaccine, or they did and that’s why they are fine. It is a cult completely impervious to the idea that they’ve been had at the behest of capital markets. They’ll make the story fit, gosh darned it.
What was even sadder was realizing how much I had in common with them, where a vast majority of their unrelated tweets I could like or agree with. It seems to me divide, distract, demoralize and demonize is the name of the psyops game right now in the online space. The C-Suite is counting their money and looking for the best new capital flows as always.
Why can’t all us little people just get along?
It would be nice if we could all get along, but has it ever been so? And now, having lost respect for the majority of people, I find I'm just not interested in them. When the weather got rough, they ran for cover. It's just rain I said, but they were too scared. I can't handle cowards very well. I'm sure I'll have to account for that one day...
"The science" is that we never once made any attempt to count the number of maimed and dead bodies after injection. And because we did everything would to cover up these bodies, the side effects (including death) are therefore "rare." Our unsubstantiated marketing slogans are "the science" you see.
