Mennonites?

In the larger scale of 250,000 years of weather, who knows what is normal? Hard to tell from a tiny 150 year snippet.

4th monkey and new supermarket were really funny.

Red pilled in 2015 on my own. Read everything in sight. Dropped into deep rabbit holes. Was alarmed by many and a multitude of possible scenarios.

For over 10 years now, I've watched and continued reading. Nothing has ever happened to substantiate most of the assertions and mythology of that prodigious reading.

I think a primary tactic on web is bizarre, weird theories and hypotheses passed around and many deliberately generated. They inflame people's imaginations. They cause a certain panic which, as "The Epoch Times" related in an article, freezes people in a "flight or fight" cage. They become paralyzed.

So, I've stopped believing 9/10 of what I read; discount much of what I've read in the past; and feel 100% more sane.

I think the most grounding thing you can ever do after reading alarmist inflammatory claims is to ASSESS YOUR OWN SITUATION. OMG the planet is boiling! Want to know what the weather is? Look outside. Are you boiling?

OMG we’re all going to die of nanoparticles from Conjabs! We’re all being steered to our deaths? What do you do while driving a car? How could people even be on the roads if most people were like this?

What turns out when comparing notes is that most of us presume that everyone else is of course just like that. But not us. Don’t those other people need to be thinking the exact same thing about themselves?

Aren't "chemtrails" and "government weather modifications" the same thing? 👹

Amy Sukwan's avatar

Not necessarily. Chemtrails are probably usually a form of government Weather Modification, perhaps even used in combination with HAARP frequencies, but there are presumably quite a few other ones…

Poor cat with the drumkit! Speaking of drumkits, you misgendered Thumbnail Green 😱😬

Amy Sukwan's avatar

OMG I apologize for the misgendering!

SAMO's avatar

Hey, if you were in the UK, wouldn't that be arrest and fine?

Amy Sukwan's avatar

LOL probably!

Sanity Jane's avatar

I’m sure he’ll be cool but I am going to tell him cos it’s funny!

Amy Sukwan's avatar

I already edited it out the misgendering however it will show up on the emailed newsletter version now and forever more. Hopefully he gets a chuckle out of it. I don't know if I was confusing him with a subscriber I have with the last name Green or just equating to myself as I offered advice about taking care of chickens in extreme heat (in summertime Las Vegas the AVERAGE daily high is above 40 C, so I have experience with this. Water the ground every late morning for the evaporative cooling effect, get ice, wet towels, fans, evaporative coolers and bring them into A/C if real bad). Thanks for pointing it out!

Sanity Jane's avatar

I am sure he will chuckle, Amy! (I’ve been misgendered in the past and don’t find it a big deal. Only certain types of people get upset…).

Catastrophic Anthropogenic climate change is bag of enforced scientific bull-spunk.

The official line:

1) temp rose 800 years before CO2 (Gore's graph - he failed to mention this, though it was known at the time). This sequence is NOT in dispute.

2) CO2 was 10X higher in the past with no runaway warming. 4000ppm.

3) The relation between temp and CO2 increase is logarithmic - requiring a doubling of CO2 for each ~1.5C of increase. So far, we have (allegedly) increased CO2 by about 33%. 3C of warming would require 200%, 4.5 by 400%.

4) During the Younger Dryas period (10k years ago) temps rose by 10C in 40 years - 120 times the current rate. So the 'unprecedented' argument is a lie.

I can't wrap my mind around "The ice bergs are melting!" panic. Is it illogical to think every ice berg started out as snow on somebody's winter garden?

misterkel's avatar

Fun fact - the Arctic Sea Ice shrinks by around 70% every summer.

Then comes back.

You asked about Climate change.

The hundreds of millions of tons of water vapour emitted by international travel etc may have something to do with it. Similarly for a volcanic eruption off Tonga in 2022.

I'm hoping my forecast of 1C above baseline for global temperature in December 2027 works out.

Premature ageing of pine needles has been associated with emf's at .000024 microwatts mW per square centimeter.....smaller tree growth rings as well at that level of mW. From Arthur Firstenburg's radio wave packet, dated 2001. Will send, it's a graph worth reading. best

Nice Bluegrass performance. Bluegrass is an acquired taste some refuse to acquire. The speed, precision, and polish of the best is stunning, and the emotion can be as raw as it gets. Few songs are as heartbreaking as Bill Monroe’s “Body and Soul” (speaking of acquired taste). Oddly, some of the most blue is dance-a-jig inducing, and I can’t imagine anyone not awed by Alison Krauss’s vocals.

Gotta love a classically corny family band. The one you attached reminded me of this cover of a Del McCoury number. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ry_Nh3slMgI

Reporting from Riga, Latvia:

weather here has been pretty uneventful for the last twenty years or so. We had one storm in early 2000:s, and that was it. This winter is a bit colder than the previous one, which means it's sort of normal, reaching -20 °C (-4 °F) overnight. Nothing close to the -43 °C (-45 °F) winters of late 1970:s. We haven't had a decent flood for quite some time, either. But I'm fine with this. :)

EnvironMENTALISM is a remarkable form of hypnotic control.

People complain about billionaires, but they give them money all the time.

It seems that all billionaires have supported and exploited the Global Warming Con, that so many people of the underclass love.

People complain about the erosion of civil rights, but they actively collaborate in eroding civil rights.

People complain about injustice, but they cause injustice.

People complain about corporations evading taxes, but they have no problem with NGO's covering up child trafficking.

People complain about the Catholic Church, but they worship Quantum mechanics.

People complain about right wing media pushing fascist propaganda that corrupts and controls people's thoughts, and then they complain about plastics.

The more safe we are the more unsafe we are. Security and Disaster are conjoined twins.

People never reflect upon their actions. People only react, like unthinking animals. Hitler wanted that young Germans to be reactive like animals, unthinking, pure action, led by sensuality, immune to logic. Hitler was one of the first Green Politicians.

Democracy will not solve this problem. This problem is caused by humans rejecting their human condition. It can be summarized as the idolatry of the World, or as the worship of appearances. It is a form of slavery.

My guess is institutional problems will remain as long as people are problems. Moses gave his people ten laws. Jesus said, "Ok, can y'all maybe follow two?" The US began with a constitution and ten amendments. Today, US codes and statutes fill libraries. There aren't enough words to keep everybody in line.

Have you noticed that Governments like people to be dependent on them, and to not have self-control?

Have you noticed that there are many thinkers of many different schools have indicated that individual people must develop always their self-control and not be dependent on Governments, States, Churches, Universities, or other institutions?

The raison d'être of "institutional problems" is to be perennial, unsolvable and ever-expanding. Institutions are meant to destroy the natural liberty of people. And most people seem to like that, until they don't. Very comical if you ask me. The Human Comedy!

We got down to zero a couple of weeks ago, and got down to -10 a few years ago, but that's normal here. I have meterologist friends who tell me we are not warming much and that the sun causes the changes here. I don't know.
