I remember being very critical of this music video the first time I saw it some years ago. Most music videos looked like big theatrical productions and I remember telling my daughter Jasmine “You and Eliza could just jump on the trampoline together smiling and I think it would be better than this.” I suppose I get the video now better, though I’m not seeing it as profound.

Sigh. My Aunt Rita passed away a few days ago, that being my mother’s sister. This is following on from Uncle John my mother’s brother in early June, leaving Mom in a very short space of time with one living sibling left alive, that being Aunt Elaine. I did not have any dreams of a quantun entanglement type regarding this. I’m concerned about death in threes again as happened in my family in 2014, 2016 and 2018. It is what it is may she rest in peace.

Joe Biden, temporarily unavailable due to Covid despite his God knows how many supposed vax status, is considering withdrawing from the reelection bid. This would be different than him resigning say as it would still mean he’s the POTUS for now, he’s just not on the ballot for the Democrats. A street fight will ensue among Kamala Harris, Gavin Newsom, Gretchen Whitmer, and who only knows who else if this should come to pass. They should have aimed better at Trump! I’m still not sure how that chaos would have fixed this clusterfuck, whether it was intended to kill him or not.

Can I vote for Literally Andybody Else for President? Has the Simpsons ever done predictive programming on an economic collapse? Or total war? Sometimes I think they’re just looking for the best bagholder for their bankruptcy. And of course their attempts to take everything not nailed down into their survival bunkers with them.

I’ve still been going through the receipts on the Trump assasination attempt, but this post is a breather from it. You are all in a safe space here. Err, sort of. I have no idea what your triggers are. This would trigger me. I’m riding with Bidet!

Hmm. I assumed that most rallies are recorded, just not in a live stream manner unless there’s some cut to breaking news…

All right I’ll tell you. In digging through footage of this Trump assasination attempt I’ve been reading people on every side of the issue. Supposedly 1/3 of Democrats believe that it was staged. I read many substack writers who feel the same way and the issue is as divisive as Trump himself is, or as the Covid vaccines were.

Some will go to their grave supporting whomever “Stops Trump,” but many more simply think it is a uniparty controlled by banking interests. I’m not sure if that makes a difference in whether Trump was really shot at or not.

Perhaps I feel in a good position to investigate precisely because neither Joe Biden or Donal Trump elicit an emotional response on my part.

In 2006, Drew Westen, professor of psychology and psychiatry at Emory University, published the results of a very illuminating study. During the 2004 US Presidential election, his team used functional neuroimaging to study the neural responses of thirty committed partisans presented with negative information about both their preferred and opposition candidates.

The purpose of the study was to observe “how partisan brains reasoned during the polarized 2004 election. The answer: they didn’t.”

“When confronted with compelling negative evidence about their candidate, the brains of Democrats and Republicans registered conflict and distress. Whereas the circuits normally activated during dispassionate reasoning appeared to be in a persistently vegetative state when faced with a reasoning task with negative implications for the partisan’s candidate, circuits charged with regulating emotion and dealing with conflict lit up our computer screens like the Fourth of July, firing rockets into reason until our partisans had arrived at emotionally comfortable conclusions.”

In other words, the participant’s brains had little problem handling negative information about the opposition party candidate, but started “freaking out” when faced with negative information about the candidate from their favored party. Their brains didn’t return to a less frantic state until they had found a way to distort and rationalize the negative information in a way that comfortably co-existed with their belief in the superiority of their favored candidate.

Now I may not have that type of emotional reaction about the puppets in front of us, but do I have it regarding other issues? Yes, yes I do, especially regarding vaccines and the Covid jabs specifically. Somebody on Quora was saying some ridiculous thing about how children should be automatically jabbed over their antivaxxer parents objections and another was claiming that all of the antivaxxers were dead and cited a New York Times study from long ago showing that more people died of Covid in Republican lower jab areas than in higher jab Democratic areas. I didn’t even know where to start.

Then I asked myself if I would be happy if some person in a position of power were assasinated. If someone were to randomly blow Anthony Fauci or Bill Gates brains out I would not shed any tears over it. I’d probably think they had it coming for all of the death and destruction still ongoing that this Covid catastrophe has caused.

Does that punishment seem most fitting to me? No, not at all. In really thinking about it the sweetest punishment for Fauci and the like is to lose all of their money, pensions and possessions. I’d love to see the money stop to people like this. They get rewarded for killing, Them bowing out is always treated as some great victory but no, they still got to keep all of their ill begotten gains.

Who would really want to talk to Bill Gates if he wasn’t filthy rich? Not me…
