Some months ago I was scheduled for a nonstop flight from Las Vegas to Detroit, which was delayed for about one hour for whatever reason. When all passengers settled in their seats the captain informed us that due to the delay he was going to try to catch up some of the lost time in flight, leading to a flight time of only 3 hours and 30 minutes. This type of announcement, as some of you may know, is not uncommon on longer haul flights which are delayed.

Still I mused that this would be the shortest flight time on a Las Vegas to Detroit common route that I have flown over a dozen times over the decades. I mean it was always over four hours on the way back from Detroit to Las Vegas, usually around four hours and 20 minutes. This difference in flight time between West to East and East-West longer haul flights I had always attributed to the jet stream in the USA leading to a tailwind on East bound flights with a faster time but a headwind on West bound flights leading to a slower time. But what exactly is going on here with the rotation of the Earth?

Of course I’ve been on much longer long haul flights leaving the continental USA for Thailand. The most common nonstop route (there is no longer any commercial direct flight from the US to or from Thailand) which I have been on both ways about one dozen times is LAX-Hong Kong or in reverse Hong Kong-Los Angeles. The flight time is consistently shorter on the West-East route than it is on the East-West route, which is consistent with my experience in the USA as well. Days and nights go really slowly heading West when the flight is chasing the sun and the night shadows. When it is heading East however the opposite is true and day turns to night and the next morning very quickly. Oddly they run exactly opposite the time zone changes.

This had me musing over jet streams, rotating spheres and most importantly flight times. I tested Google with my direct long haul flights where I knew what the approximate flight time had been. The answers came back roughly the same as I knew, so Google was not lying to me. My longest nonstop flight was LAX-Doha (Qatar) which was over 15 hours on what should be the faster Eastbound route, this time arcing over Canada, Greenland and Norway.

Due to Thailand’s location on a globe in the Northern Hemisphere actually on the exact opposite side as right around Detroit, Michigan, most flights for me route west from Las Vegas over the Pacific Ocean, Alaska, Hawaii, Japan, and Asia but some will route east over the Atlantic Ocean and Europe. A nonstop flight from Detroit to Bangkok, say, if such a thing were to exist, would be fastest travelling almost exactly over the North Pole.

It was always a faster trip flying East, but the jet stream also explains that. I decided to check my hypothesis on direct North-South and South-North long haul flights, where the West to East prevailing winds should not be a factor and flight times should be roughly the same. I got hits on nonstops from New York-Santiago and London-Johannesburg and indeed there was no major difference in flight time regardless of which way you were headed.

I decided to check some flights in the Southern hemisphere. Perth-Sydney was a great example as it’s west coast east coast around 2300 miles which is very closely comparable though a bit farther than my Vegas-Detroit roundtrip. The numbers are usually adding up, but on some very long haul Southern Hemisphere flights the Westbound flight is shorter. I would have to assume that somebody is counting fuel consumption for these airlines very carefully and would have to know these calculations.

So getting back to this Flat Earth debate could they be playing castle keep with a third possibility by having especially Christians latch on to a fake theory which has elements of truth mixed in? I mean why would God have a problem with spheres? What in God’s name would be his reason to have a problem with pi, an ever expanding mathematical fractal of 3.14159 on into infinity? If he made the Heavens and Earth he obviously did not have a problem with making the other ones spherical.

In short could the Earth be a not rotating sphere at the center of the Universe with the sun revolving around it? Then are other planets in ellipses around the sun or also revolving around the Earth? There are of course other possibilities which is why I try to keep an open mind to what I don’t know.

Now why would “they” do that? It would point to God’s masterful design being far grander than man can conceive. It would mean that we are all made in God’s image and that our conscious thoughts are not some accident of evolution. It would hopefully point us away from the peak psychological programming of the current clown world.

I think we are pretty much here. And yes, most people will tie people to the rails to save their job. We’re all just upright monkeys, not even as smart as most animals anyways, right?

Hopefully that 23% who aren’t fat, on drugs, mentally ill, autistic or having too long of a criminal records are smart enough to avoid fighting on behalf of pedophile liars and thieves. But how else will you make money nowadays?

In peak clown world, being opposed to genocide in Gaza means you automatically support murder and extermination of the other side. I’m not a fan of Greta Thunberg but its difficult to watch this horror show of Hell on Earth play out so if her and her Game of Thrones friends want to bring humanitarian aid to starving people, let them. The reason a ceasefire cannot be reached is because this is not a war. It’s an extermination campaign. It’s coming for all of us.
