Ironically Google is unsure who to attribute the statement “The first casualty of war is truth” to. When you consider that we seem to be in an Omniwar, a multipronged all out assault on humanity, it makes sense that they lie about everything. All of our once respected insititutions are faltering before our eyes.
The left has been mucking up some rape accusation charges against Trump which I had heard before. I’m not going to defend him his behavior towards women has always appeared boorish and misogynistic to me. I still prefer Donald Trump to Kamala Harris, though.
Has World War III escalated again? Israel has apparently bombed Iran in retaliation for prior attacks. Finding a signal and sorting it from the noise is difficult here as there were claims that Israel was also bombing Syria and Lebanon at the same time. Then there were damage warnings inside Israel:
This is being attributed to an Earthquake. Is this weather modification stuff or a signal from God? The timing seems odd.
It’s getting harder to pretend to believe the lies. Maybe that’s a good thing!
Here’s hoping we can all get along. This is also true in Thailand!
My source for optimism is that as all these institutions crumble under the fetid weight of their own corruption, we’re going to be forced to individually learn the truth for ourselves. Speaking of strange food I think I’m going to try to do a little science experiment with those sea urchin. Are they edible?
A comment by New York Music had me remembering that back in the day I used to love eating sea urchin. The only Japanese restaurant in Toledo at the time had uni on the menu. It was expensive too but once every few months I splurged on sushi there, almost always going alone as my working class Ohio friends were distrustful of raw fish. My then boyfriend had a theory that the only reason I liked it was because I thought it was rich people’s food. I think it probably was an iodine deficiency. I still love seafood though my favorite is salmon roe.
So that started me down a YouTube rabbit hole regarding harvesting sea urchin. They use some harvested from California and Maine in the USA for sourcing. Some videos claim that the tropical varieties such as the long spindled black ones all over the coral reef here in Thailand are not edible because these sea urchins have too many toxins. Other videos claim they are just not as good because they are smaller and the eggs don’t hold together.
After much searching I found one video of them eating and harvesting this variety of sea urchin in nearby Vietnam. They cook them with quail eggs and green onions. During the next low tide I think I’m going to try to harvest a few of those critters. Here’s hoping I don’t get sick.
In a post truth world the best way forward is to find your own way…
