Yes, I continue to have some weird internet issues across multiple platforms. I cannot access substack at all from my husband’s phone, even to view posts not signed in. This morning I tried to acess twitter/X, which was not letting me like or share posts. After some clicks twitter forced me to do some sort of prove I am human stupid human trick which was hard to understand and a little absurd. I’m starting to think that the only purpose these weird things serve is to try to train the AI how people think so it can pretend to be them better.
It didn’t work, though. Now Elon Musk’s platform says “We’ve added a temporary label to your account that may impact its reach.” Of course I clicked on learn more which said:
“Why does my account have a label?
We have found that your account may contain spam or be engaging in other types of platform manipulation. You may not use X’s services in a manner intended to artificially amplify, suppress information, or engage in behavior that manipulates or disrupts people’s experience or platform manipulation defenses on X.
What does this mean for my account?
The reach of your account may be limited and its content may also be temporarily restricted, such as being excluded from trends, replies, recommended notifications, and search results.”
Now I barely use twitter. I only average a retweet maybe once per month. I go on there to check trends (whether real or manipulated) and to harvest memes, being the premier meme thief that I am. So, as is usual, I have no idea what I did. They really don’t even bother to hide it anymore, now do they?
Messenger on Facebook/Meta has some sort of weird end to end pin encryption which I can’t use and don’t want to. They claim it is about making my account more secure but they seem to be losing a lot of my previous messages. I suspect it will be used for a widespread purge of past correspondence. It might be time to get back to pen and paper.
Celia Farber had some interesting speculation regarding the Princess of Wales, Kate Middleton. This had me thinking back to another Princess whose mysterious and possibly jab induced medical condition took her out of the limelight.
So what are the updates regarding Thailand Princess Ong Bha? There are none. Here is how wikipedia put it:
In December 2022, Bajrakitiyabha collapsed as a result of a heart condition while out walking her dogs. As of February 2024, she is in a coma. (the link takes you to something explaining what a coma is, not to anything related to the Princess per say).
Perhaps they’ll bring both princesses back when they perfect their 3D holographic projection technology. It’s got to be just around the corner. I agree with Celia Farber’s assessment here:
“And maybe that’s what I’m thinking opened all this up, somehow. A portal to pure chaos. And people who love the Monarchy love it precisely because it makes them feel there is some kind of unbreakable order in the world, into which they can wave handheld Union flags in the freezing rain, cheering and clapping. As an American, it’s hard to imagine royal devotion, but it must be something along the lines of:
As long as they’re ok, we are too.”
Beware the Ides of March, indeed. Anniversaries are remembered whether we are conscious about them or not.
Patrick.net has been slaying me with two very funny meme stacks in a row. I hope you all enjoy as I think I needed the laugh!
Winning!
Perhaps I’m jealous of people that live in countries with royal families. The election shenanigans are getting so bad that the four year presidential leap years are to be dreaded. I wonder what problems they’ll make this time?
I’d vote for Rat…
The lawnmower!
Amy - did you see Candace Owen's work on Brigitte Macron being a man?
It explains a lot.
