Happy Valentine’s Day all! And also happy Ash Wednesday, Singles Day and whatever else you might be celebrating (or not). For the second year in a row I will be spending my day and night with Valentina’s hot sauce and missing my husband. I hope you all make the best of it, whatever you do…
I’ve had offers of the “If you can’t be with the one you love, love the one you’re with” variety, but it has about the same appeal to me as eating human feces does…
I don’t think this is very romantic..
And here’s some cringe worthy Valentine’s cards…
You never know what could happen…
I’ve been working around the yard at the Las Vegas house. Our bird bath was fatally broken so I used the base as a stand for our Buddha and expanded the rabbit shrine, as Mr. Brown died in 2019 and Blackher, as a very old almost 11 year rabbit, died in 2023. A eucalyptus tree volunteered itself in the spot where Mr. Brown’s body was buried. We don’t even water the back yard. I really should write about biological soil rejuvenation and reforestation. You can create a positive feedback loop even in the barren desert.
We had a wedding for Mr. Brown and Blackher many years ago. I posted this in honor of Valentine’s Day:
There’s some truth to this. Sometimes I like telling my husband noncommital things like “When we die I want our ashes to be mixed together.” I’ve slept away from him enough..
Sigh. I hope you’re enjoying the day whatever you’re doing…
Hi Amy, sorry you are without your sweetie on 💘 day! Thanks for amusing the rest of us🤗
Loved the "love shaped like . . . " heart/cross meme.
