Oh my goodness, your pet food bills must be enormous! Thank you for trying to save all the animals, Amy. I hope that you find good homes for all the pups, and that you are able to get some spaying and neutering done again.

In time. I'd say all in I spend $80 per month on pet food it probably rises to $100 when you add in other things (basic antibiotics, flea and tick powder). Taking out the semi feral cats in the area it was two dogs (Cooper and Daisy) and three cats (Feisty, Sprout, Aqua) that I feel very compelled to find homes for should we go to America. The dogs aren't even an option to bring to the USA since the evil CDC banned them from Thailand and like 66 other countries last year. Mostly though I find it odd in our neighborhood no cats or dogs are getting fixed but the population growth is not going on some crazy way. There was a kitten season in about March of 2021 several neighbor's cats all were having kittens now there's only one kitten (Titan) anywhere around. But it's puppy season a neighbor's dog had four recently and another dog in the neighborhood is pregnant. Data projections from animal rescue places of linear exponential growth it is not. It's almost like some higher guiding principles are at work here, which we humans have very limited understanding of...

Hey Amy, off topic, but I just saw this and it made me think of you. This is a pretty clear signal that may ripple into the rest of the world.

"The government of Thailand has paid more than $45 million as compensation to people who developed illnesses and injuries after receiving COVID=19 vaccine shots.

So far, 12,714 people have received the compensation, the Phenom Penh Post reported.

Thailand's National Health Security Office said last week that from May 19, 2021, to March 8, 2022, a total of 15,933 people had filed complaints of negative reactions to COVID-19 vaccines."

That's a good catch! Thailand I knew did have a conjab compensation system, but most of the early reports from theThaiger and the Bangkok Post were all "eye roll" about "rare," and "safe and effective" so I didn't know the numbers went that high yet. Thais traditionally were way less into jabs in than America is: nobody really gets a flu shot (no flu season either) and when I enrolled my younger girl in Thai school years ago I remember asking if I needed proof of vaccines. "Why you need that?" My husband questioned. "If you want to get vaccine go to the clinic and get the vaccine! Why the school asking about that?" Thais also keep their eye on money matters if the breadwinner loses the ability to make a living they are going to have a calculator out...
