Dogs Follow Her is awesome and a good visual as well! You seem quite graceful through all of the hubbub. Centered. That’s a good thing.

War is a never ending racket. Is it really separate wars, or just battles along a longer arc of destruction? Perhaps both. Your insight in the child trafficking seems darkly plausible. Chilling.

I hope you get your electricity situation sorted out and the coming visa interview goes well.

Sorry TFish, no separate posting box for me.

--------------------

Hi Amy -

I keep thinking about this film "Life is Beautiful" by Roberto Benigni. Part of the film takes place in a concentration camp, where Benigni's character makes a game of it for his young son. Working hard to keep his son safe and not traumatized.

I keep thinking about where we spend our time, put our attention. What do we live and breathe.

It does not make things stop to change our focus, but what affect does it have.

I saw you delved into the insanity of child sexual trafficking and knew I could not go there. Too close to my lived experience. And wondered when you post photos are you not continuing the abuse. Which does not mean to turn your back on it, or be unaware. It does not even mean you should not speak to it.

Maybe many have a normal in this moment that has remained somewhat unchanged through this insanity. Some do not.

-------

I am off the grid. I do have electric though. Everyone on my dirt road is off grid and that means something different to each of us. There is one small house by the main road that is hooked up to the grid.

There is also one man in his seventies who has a small cozy well built place with no systems. No electric, no plumbing, just a wood stove.

------

When I was growing up my father would fly into rages and hit my brother or myself. He was not an alcoholic. The next day was 'normal'. Off to school with a smile on my face.

My parents were well educated, well read, very aware of the world around us. And yet my mother stood in the doorway watching as my father beat myself or my brother. She had no ability to draw the necessary boundary. Or understand the gravity of what she was allowing to happen. And yet she would go out into the world to try and make it a better place.

I have always spoken out, even as a tiny person. I have said no as a child to adults violating my boundaries.

I will never 'be quiet'.

How do we stand up for each other. Where do we put our focus.

I understand of what you speak very well. Putting our focus on bad things perhaps magnifies them and allows the trauma to continue. I have seen Life is Beautiful and it is a favorite movie of mine. I have tried to a great degree to do that for my daughers, hoping that they can live as normal and as untraumatized of a life as possible.

But I have been in those rooms and have an ability to step back from them. What I see is that most people who have not seen it refuse to see it. I think this turning away and let's just all focus on the good, indivdually and collectively, may have allowed evil to flourish. There's a spirit of God even in those darkest places. Perhaps it's part therapy for me to write it all down, of what I remember. Perhaps as our collective has evolved more people have been in those rooms and can really see it for what it is. Mostly I felt compelled by God to document it. In the hopes that it will never happen again...

They are all about violating boundaries...

"What I see is that most people who have not seen it refuse to see it. I think this turning away and let's just all focus on the good, indivdually and collectively, may have allowed evil to flourish."

And some who are looking right at it cannot move from that place of spectator. Close their eyes in a way, possibly because they too have been traumatized and could not do the work of it.

Yeah write to what you need to write to. I chose not to read, but always have to do the daily work of it.

This is always the ongoing question, how can we help others to see.

Thank you for your response Amy ❤️

I think we have to call out evil when we see it. Can't fight what we won't name. Surely that's why truth speakers get denounced for "hate speech crimes." If evil can silence dissidents, evil can run the table.

I think there is a lot of good people on sub stack shinning light on a lot of things that could definitely Lead to war. I don’t think sinking to there level is the right thing to do though. I believe we have enough evidence to take action for the safety of our family’s, our children, our friends, there families etc... I think we need to start meeting up and talking in person in the cities/towns we live in. We need to go in great numbers to our city officials to find out where they stand. If it’s with us then they resign peacefully, if it’s against us we do our best not to apply force. Then we meet on a state level and so on and so fourth. Our oppressors are doing more then talking they are acting, Our time is now!!!

All commercial airports in Ukraine (Україна) have been closed, including the two in Київ (Kyiv). You have to fly to another country, usually Poland, and take a train. It has been like this throughout the war. It works safely and easily. Kyiv itself has the best air defense in the country and, as you can read in my blog, I consider it safer than wartime Saigon where I spent four years.

The Russians keep up the threats of WWIII to intimidate Ukraine's supporters. It works less and less well as red lines keep being crossed and Russian atrocities mount.

Welcome. You are on my bucket list of people I'd like to meet in person. If fate brings you here, please do call. Our kids and cats would be fascinated to get acquainted with such a storied personality.

NB: Booking overnight trains is not as easy as airline tickets, but cost is reasonable and it can be done online. Buses are cheaper if you can go a night sleeping uncomfortably.

I’m one of those kids that the old fifties films show hiding under their school desks as protection against “The Bomb” in the former USA. Went through the Cuban Missile Crisis and the 1973 Egyptian attack on Israel. As Siebert states this feels like mostly Russian nuclear saber rattling playing perhaps on the few remaining living memories of those times. I don’t get the sense so far that tensions arising from the Ukraine turf war are anything like those were. If we are to go nuclear it will most likely be over Taiwan.

Is it just me or does everyone on the planet have some relatives who are thieving assholes? Seems to be a universal human condition. You have my best wishes on the visa interview.

And, oh, does anyone know any Asian mother in law jokes. My nephew has had his heart ‘shanghaied’ by a young lady from Shanghai and I’m trying to scare the excrement out of him about his future in-laws (purely for my own devilish entertainment 😈).

Nothing else to say but :"fu**ed up". As the world around us goes downhill fast, build your resilience network and, if you have been keeping true to your faith, good for you. If not, there's still time. The sun rises in the East, and sets in the West. It's dusk in "the West".

I was raaised Catholic by a very devout former Catholic nun, but I converted to Buddhism (if you could call it that: it wasn't a formal ritual or anything of the sort) after a motorbike accident which I almost certainly should have died in where the stone amulet necklace I was wearing broke in two on hitting a coconut tree which saved me from falling to my death on the rocky shores below. The Thai villagers all believed that Buddha had saved me and I absolutely felt that God had put this on my path. Now Buddhist teachings are interesting as he explored primarily what humans do to cause their own suffering. He certainly didn' claim to be the son of God and there is fierce debate as to whether he believed in God at all. "Buddha don't come back." My husband Oh told me. Now Spookepedia does have an entry for Next Buddha but it's so obscure it simply ranks with any number of odd cults. The primary aims of his texts was how humans could achieve enlightenment...

nobody wants to risk nuclear war any more than they're going to release a self spreading vaxx since both are equally lethal to the rothschilds and us.

The Boar Hog Look😈 I’m out walking the farm with Dad to check on the stock. Over in the swine boudoir George of the boar hog stud duo of George and Lester, named after two local lawyers, was busy screwing a sow, making beacon as it were. Dad observes the process briefly and asks me to come over by him. He then says, “Do you see what old George is doing?” I nod affirmatively. He bends over to reach eye level with George who isn’t missing a stroke and bids me to do the same. “Take a good look at George’s eyes and remember that look. When you see another human looking at you in the same way he’s about to do the same thing to you that George is doing to that sow.”

My guess is WWIII began when we thought WWII was over. Starting with a divided Berlin, “regional conflicts” since have had international repercussions and never more so than now. Robert Malone pointed out today that the goal of 5G warfare is confusion. It’s easier to rob and kill people when they’re confused. 1 Corinthians 14:33 comes to mind. “For God is not the author of confusion but of peace.” Scripture connects confusion to shame, disgrace, and destruction, all evil stuff in abundance these days. Maybe a hot WWIII is the 21st century’s wake-up call to ancient and relentless spiritual warfare.
