It's going to be a a very big disappointment. We are past the time when arrests should have happened. It's going to shit, everything is shit, it's only going to get shittier, this is just another shitty disappointment. Unsurprising predictable shit. It's the story for the next 500 years.
I’m just going on past performance and the general trajectory of the world. I’ll bet you a chocolate milkshake we see zero convictions over the whole Covid debacle, zero election fraud convictions, zero Biden crime family convictions, zero lawfare convictions, zero congress insider trading arrests, zero … ahhh you get my drift. No one will ever be held accountable for anything and it’s pretty easy to understand why - they’re all in the same club. Trump has far more in common with a Dem senator than he does some White trash MAGA supporter.
That last line is what I try to explain to people when they are totally fine with our geriatric, billionaire club, political class. These people will never rub elbows/cuffs with you. They don't care about you aside from your 'consent' to their political agenda.
We need to start governing ourselves. As a canadian, I would love to see referendums in cities across the country declaring the government system null and void. We get to 60%, then it's a general tax strike. The power of government comes from the consent of the governed.
It seems that the majority of populations prioritize an illusion of safety (provided by governments and their lies and manipulations) over individual freedom.
They have become like caged animals who have never left their cage, have become habituated to their condition, and won't leave even when the cage is open. They fear freedom more than captivity.
Additionally, it was traditionally the role of men to protect women, who tend to, generally speaking, be more risk-adverse and to seek safety, understandably. But paternalistic governments gradually replaced men in this role, becoming everyone's "big daddy" under the shadow of which all are now supposed to feel "safe" while being monitored and controlled 24/7 like small children.
Look at First Nations reserves and what the government did to Indigenous men, stripping them of their traditional roles. Look at what the government did to the Black community, replacing fathers with welfare checks. The same is now happening to all of us...and AI and robots will speed the process of replacing and displacing men - as well as everybody else, who will be made to subsists on a meager UBI check in the best of cases.
They fear being held responsible for the repercussions of their lives and actions, the 'liability'.
“Those who would give up essential Liberty, to purchase a little temporary Safety, deserve neither Liberty nor Safety”
Or during the covid era - "Give up your bodily freedom, for MY security! or else!"
To your edit(last two paragraphs): Yes, this would be how they did it. Demonize all men and their role, replace it with government "safety".
The war on drugs wasn't a war on drugs, it was a war on the black population that was gaining a foothold in society by being decent god fearing humans.
Exactly...freedom always comes with responsibility. An infantile population wants neither freedom nor the responsibilities attached to freedom.
Governments, treating people like children for many generations, have made them into permanent children in adult bodies.
The covid debacle illustrated perfectly how fast most people are willing to give up everything and become little tyrants in the name of a false sense of safety. It is disheartening...
As far as the "war on drugs", yes you are right...and drugs were channeled into poor black neighborhoods by what we now call the deep state.
I’m feeling it too Amy. Not many people out there pushed Trump as hard as I did. He was the only chance we had and a shot in the dark as well. We had a hand (poker) in him we might as well play it.
But starting last week (Ukraine) shit wasn’t adding up and I had to admit this to myself. Here is a comment I made on Simplicius if you guys wanna read it. Can’t type no more lol.
I'm with him on the "we are past the time when arrests should have happened". I think that was when no one was arrested after the biggest c***d/s## trafficker was "suicided".
I like your analysis...shit and more shit on top of shit...very accurate! That's what is missing in North America, people who have enough spine to face reality and enough clarity to tell it like it is.
We all need to get out of the sewer, because a sewer will always be a sewer full or rats (politicians) and cockroaches (the military-industrial-Big Pharma-Wall street-technocracy complex).
Interesting survey results and your usual great memes. I’m winning if I pay only a little attention to what I hear and doubt most of what I read, like the story of Abraham, Goliath, and Moses. People far from me seem to be nuts, and most everybody and everything in my immediate sphere is pretty cool. “When my appreciation exceeds my expectations, I have pretty good days” (Ray Wylie Hubbard).
So sad that people don't really know the classic Bible stories any more.
David & Goliath SUCH a good one. I mean think about it. David's training as a warrior to even fight Goliath was from being a shepherd! Killing lions and bears protecting his flock. With a sling! Have you ever seen someone with skill throw rocks out of a sling?
It's a shame how few people really know the Bible. My wife is Catholic and says she has read the Bible cover to cover twice, but she seemed unaware of some of my favorite verses:
Yeah, it's a bit much, especially if you're a front to back reader like normal people. Early on (Leviticus and Numbers?) you're drowning in Hebrew genealogy. I gather the Bible-translation/literacy world tends to begin with the book of John. Logic being it's central to everything else. Kind of like Cliff's Notes.
I recently recalled one of my favorite Bible stories from way back when I was small. A lad named Mephibosheth is introduced in 2 Samuel 4:4, and he comes back around in 2 Samuel 9. Tragic but sweet little story about taking care of your friends and your friend's family. With tales like that, who needs to look up chancroids? 😂
LOL Ifinally heard back from the US Embassy regarding what I think is the correct waiver form: that rabbit hole has been frustrating especially as th State Department could not find my husband's visa case number. That had me musing about how bad antibiotic resistence might be getting: I always heard things like syphilis or gonorrhea and the like were easily treatable (I have no personal history with any of them and don't want to).
Yes early parts of the Bible ramble on and on about who beget who in family lines. At the same time if you take the passages literally it is a grat historical record. I'll have to look up a verse of the day...

Well, Charles, you certainly found some of the Texas Chainsaw Massacre tales. Anybody who thinks the Bible is all about gentle shepherds, lilies of the field, and leading me beside still waters hasn't scratched the surface.
Cool video. Now I’m thinking of David & Goliath as a 2nd Amendment object lesson. Bible stories are embedded in our social psyche, or they used to be. Not teaching them to each generation is an assault on our culture. Teachers decorate classrooms with great quotations, so why not display the ten lines attributed to Moses? Why are we afraid of the Bible?! We don’t have to call it history or teach religion to find value in lessons on practice-practice-practice, help your people, speak up, be brave, do the right thing, and behead bullies (or something like that).
We have been so totally lied to about the Bible. You ask why "we" are so afraid of it? Same reason it is a banned book in so many communist countries. Once people know this - the lesser "gods" are done.

I scratched the surface on that video, and I'm going back in. Thanks! “Why do you trust God” is a great question. Only those who do can understand why, and those who don’t may never. Short of a road to Damascus experience, I believe we have to initiate the relationship, and it can feel risky.
If you're familiar with this deal from Malachi 3:10, and you took the risk, you know He's as good His word. I found it applies to every aspect of a Christian's life: “Test me in this, says the Lord Almighty, and see if I will not throw open the floodgates of heaven and pour out so much blessing that there will not be room enough to store it.”
You said: "I believe we have to initiate the relationship, and it can feel risky."
I believe HE initiated the relationship when The Word became flesh and dwelt among us. He came down. The Innocent died in our place. Even so, it still feels risky! LOL! The deeper I get into this, the more in awe I am of who Jesus is and what he has done to set us free. He truly is the Warrior/King.
On Malachi - there is another author I want to suggest, but I can't remember his name right now - I'll come back to it. Later.
I found the pro-Trump trope that in his first term “he never got us into any wars” to be pretty facile, ignoring that he didn’t really depart from the status quo in U.S. foreign policy. But since he bombed Yemen, I don’t have to hear that anymore. So I kind of appreciate that.
Objectively no, not on a Stop the Shots, Stop the Wars, Release the Epstein List, Balance the Budget way. Most of it has been theatrics, bait and switch, moving the goalposts, and Lucy holding out the football for Charlie Brown. The left boot and the right boot march steadily towards dystopian tyranny.
> But don't let that - fully correct - gloomy outlook stop us from appreciating the (so called) little things around us that really matter, and which are in reality the Big things that make life worthwhile.
My biggest disappointment so far has been the non-release of all the files on JFK/RFK/MLK. I even have doubts about the Lincoln assassination story and would like a thorough search for records related to that, but there has been nothing of value published in any of those.
Have seen news that numbers of illegals crossing U.S. borders is way down----good news, I think if true. Also read fentanyl deaths are reduced, and the NY Times is baffled, wondering why that might be?
Trump told everyone all they needed to know about him with his very first cabinet appointment during his first term. After all his "drain the swamp" rhetoric, who was his first appointment? Steven Mnuchin of Goldman Sachs. That said it all. To confirm, he went from "lock her up" for hillary to "well, she's actually a good person." There should have been no doubts. He can not be trusted, something his entire career has made obvious. FWIW, I voted for him twice and would do so again, given the competition, but I had no illusions in doing so. Your real enemy is your vain socialistic superstition that you will not give up because you have never questioned it. Especially people over 60, most of them became members of socialist bullshit religion in the 1960s and 70s, and have never, ever, not even once, questioned their programming. Other people are wrong, but they are always right. That abject ignorance of your own errors is what enables the great evil of environmentalism and the bombing of innocent people all over the world. In Trump's favor: he's abiding by the court rulings and appealing as he should. Nothing substantial would be created by simply exerting his own prerogative. 191 rulings against actions taken by Trump administration are currently in effect and being appealed.
Big win for women since Trump administration is fighting hard against males participating in women's sports events and stripping women of scholarships and titles. They are bringing actions against states allowing male participation in contravention to his EO.
Although we've yet to see concrete action, DOGE at least alerted any half-way informed American citizen of the huge money spent to create NGOs who essentially censored social media and targeted popular posters. The NGOs were used by the Democrat Party to enforce actions against their opponents.
Bold actions have been taken to stop the social engineering of American society to accept transsexuals with the military ridding its ranks of transsexuals. Recent recruitment effort reached their goal four months before end date. So, Trump is definitely following what Americans have said they want.
Trade tariffs have brought staggeringly good results. Many countries have negotiated new tariffs with the new administration. Are we suffering economically because of this fact? Probably. Eventually, I think we'll see an enormously more prosperous U.S.
Pardoned nearly everyone associated with January 6. A big one with me. As we all know, many people who simply walked through the Capitol with Capitol police holding doors for them were charged with high crimes; refused bail; kept in prison in some cases for nearly 4 years; etc.
Greatest hope? That he'll walk away from Europe. NATO may be left in tact as an organization but not as a viable treaty. No war with Russia through proxy Ukraine fostered by Neocons.
I expected his actions in Israel-Palestine which greatly disappoint me.
He's an active, cordial president who is an executive who widely engages with the world and the press. He talks to the press almost daily. How many world leaders has received in the WH? A substantial number. How many meetings and trips has he taken abroad? A goodly number.
His administration, through Vance, has severely rebuked Europe for their censorship and suppression of elections/election results.
Trump told everyone all they needed to know about him with his very first cabinet appointment during his first term. After all his "drain the swamp" rhetoric, who was his first appointment? David killed him with a sling and a stone to the forehead. And Goliath DEFINITELY didn't survive after David chopped off his head with his own sword.
I Samuel 17
It's a shame how few people really know the Bible. My wife is Catholic and says she has read the Bible cover to cover twice, but she seemed unaware of some of my favorite verses:
Numbers 31:17-18
Genesis 34:25-31
Samuel 18:27
And here I am looking up what is chancroid. I'll check the relevant verses thanks.
The Bible is long and winding and many people do not light on the same verse...
These waivers can be used for many reasons (Eg criminal record denial sounds very common) so I was looking at the list of communicable diseases of public concern (this requires the attending physician to sign it as treatment resistent). TB was on therre but so were all of these STDs I had never heard of including this chancroid (no neither of us have it).
OMG foot-dragging bureaucracy at its worst. "Oh! We got you. You need to fill out THIS form." I hope you're at least getting some beach time.
Yikes! Brutal! I hope when The Chosen team finishes with the New Testament, that they start on the Old Testament. That would make a GREAT series! And they have done a great job so far with the NT series. Free on Amazon Prime.
I am still cautiously optimistic. There is so much cleanup to do. And so much opposition.
If nothing else, these first months have been entertaining.
Maybe he'll crash the economy? Maybe he'll break up the deep state? Maybe he'll declare war on Demark? Maybe he'll ... DOG KNOWS!
Not even Thomas Sowell can figure out what he's going to do next.
LOL!

Hi Amy, as always, your analysis is spot on!
Very well summarized in just 1 paragraph:

I guess this is enough.
"I will end the Ukraine fiasco on day one of my term. Yep. He may mean what he says when he says it but it is a contract written in water. He has been consistently what he is and he ain't about to change.
