We've still got the chickens in Thailand. At shops eggs are still a little under $2 per dozen there (60 baht per 12). Duck eggs are 60 baht per 10, quail eggs (much smaller and speckled) 30 baht per 24. I don't think you can make an egg substitute out of bugs, but if you feed the bugs to your chickens their eggs will be much tastier. Life hack! I'm trying to finish up this article about , err, US immigration, then I might go weekend warrior on the beer myself!
