Spirit Costume Ideas are Trending on Twitter just in time for that weekend party. Here are my favorites so far:
And now one for the Kids!

Growing up Halloween was my second favorite holiday after the Fourth of July. Sadly it is not celebrated or recognized in Thailand. So wandering around my all Thai backwoods with say fake vaccine needles sticking out of an outfit won’t be understood or go over well. Beyond that I never was into scary costumes.
Here was my take on that with my daughter in 2016:
My daughter has been super missing Halloween and trick or treating and such. Now Thailand does have a somewhat related and beautiful spiritual holiday called Loy Krathong, whose date varies as it falls on the full moon of the 12th lunar month. This usually occurs in November and this year is on November 8, but we got lucky in 2020 and it happened to fall early, on exactly October 31, so there was a big celebration we went to that night.
Last year everything was cancelled for Covid-stupid policies. No Loy Krathong, no Halloween celebrations at the smattering of western resorts that do celebrate it, nothing. But this year there are a few things going on. Both me and her have Halloween costumes. Mine is a little sexy perhaps but I might as well use it and try to take my daughter out somewhere. Which brings me to my poll question. If I’m going to get all dolled up like that I’m going to want pictures.
In celebration of the time of Scorpio…

What a sweet picture of you and your daughter! What is she now, about nine?
Lol, Hunter just got me 30 days in Facebook jail! Love the costumes anyway.
