She stated that one soldier she talked to claimed there were 40 dead babies, some with their throats cut. But no other soldiers nor anyone higher-up could confirm it. It may have just been heresay or a misunderstanding that was going around at the time. The press jumped on the story immediately and turned it into "beheaded" babies with no evidence at all, apparently just for the shock/sensationalist value. It is also suspicious that one kibbutz would have that many "babies" and it probably would have been more like some young children and/or toddlers? at a childcare facility?
The whole thing is reminiscent of the fake-news story back when Iraq invaded Kuwait about Iraqi soldiers taking hospitalized babies out of incubators and leaving them on the floor to die. It turned out the story was 100% fabricated.

I'm sure it's not feasible for you to pop over to local Home Depot and get X number of feet of chain link fence, posts, bags of concrete, and a swing gate to go around your home. What about a simple fix? Distract them while you're away? Do you have access to butcher bones? You toss down a couple of marrow bones to a group of dogs and they are no going anywhere until those are finished. Sometimes, they'll immediately try to hide them and that takes time; searching for the perfect hiding spot and digging.
