"athlete deaths" "forced landings" "blood clots" "neuropathy" and "stroke symptoms" are a few I'd bet hit some record highs in search counts

Good suggestions! Addictions of all sorts spiked during the pandemic. Maybe I could do a funny one of these and maybe another seeing if folks are finally withdrawing consent...

Personally, my red wine addiction spiked for about two years and now I can’t afford my newly-acquired addiction due to inflation. So, miraculously, I am cured without any type of outside intervention whatsoever! It’s a miracle!

LOL! I brew my own it's a two week wait and sometimes is good and sometimes tastes like gym socks, but it's a hobby less than a habit. I'm trying to avoid a three day bender like I did with the hibiscus wine though. I over compensated with sugar on that one...

Hi Amy,

A technical TIP that might be useful for you.

You wrote: ... then I simply took pictures of my laptop screen. I haven’t figured out how to screenshot with the laptop all my command buttons are defaulted to Thai language. But I have a handy little highlighter.

Instead of making screenshots using your laptop's command buttons (which do not seem to work due to Thai language default of your laptop), you could simply install a FREE 'snipping' tool.

#1 - When you have a recent version of Windows, chances are that the app is already installed on it. Just click on the Windows-start button which is situated in the left-hand corner of the ribbon on the bottom of your screen. A large pop-up appears and then simply type SNIP. When the snipping app is installed on your laptop, the pop-up then displays the options for the snipping tool. Just click somewhere on that screen and the SNIPPING TOOL opens, which is very intuitive and easy to use. Far better than the screenshot command options...

#2 - If you did not yet install a snipping tool on your laptop, just Google - Best free snipping tools, and choose the one that from the description that best suits your needs.

Cheers and success!

Peter

Additional NOTE: Why don't you buy an english-language keyboard which you can connect to one of the USB-ports of your laptop. I bought a DELL one on Shopee for 440,- Bath, and it's far handier for typing than using the laptop keyboard (and surely in your case with a dual Thai/English laptop-keyboard).

Just PM when you want to do this and I will provide you with the reference for ordering it. There are hundreds of different keyboards for sale on-line, but the large majority are dual thai/english.

Thanks Peter. I had an issue with Shoppee months ago where a package simply didn't get delivered haven't tried them since then. The default settings on a dual Thai/English keyboard are a pain, but I've perhaps improved my Thai reading skills on a few things. I will check for this Snip app. I love the laptop in general it's been a dream but is a pain to navigate settings in Thai language. My husband is not terribly computer literate in any language a few of his translations for some command button didn't even make sense 🤪

I think the easiest to get to snip is windows sign+SHIFT+S all at the same time - it will pop up immediately. Then just select what you want in the screenshot and then CTRL+V into a document, ppt, paint, email...

I found the snipping tool...but I don't know how to use it. It just fades my screen to grey...and then?

Mark the area you want to screenshot and the tool will do it. Then ctrl+v into a word doc, email, paint and you’ll have your screenshot.

Hi Amy,

When ordering from Lazada or Shopee, they want you to provide your mobile phone number and the courier will call you beforehand to check whether you are home (otherwise they don't bother to come, surely if you opted for pay on delivery). So when they call, you can provide them with directions or alternatively ask them to drop off the package at an easy to find shop/store in the vicinity of where you live. In that case it would of course be best to have already paid when ordering, instead of the 'pay on delivery' option.

Let me know if the SNIP option works for you. It takes 10 seconds to check whether it is already installed on your laptop (see my instruction in comment #1).
