So the new police clearance certificate from Bangkok arrived yesterday. This was not as easy to get as might be implied. That leaves my husband’s visa 100% down to the panel physician check and the Covid vaccines supposedly required beforehand. I have been procrastinating on it. Ka has been working hard every day at the construction site. I am grateful for the stable work for him and the place to stay:
Here’s the sleeping quarters. It’s just a basic row of temporary shelter, with brother Tee and one other guy also staying on site. The bed is surprisingly comfortable. Or maybe I just like sleeping with my husband at night.
Some days ago we went back to the old bungalow. It is gone. Somebody stripped all of the walls and posts. We’ve asked all over the place but the dogs are likewise nowhere to be found. I did see Jungo the dog, though. Despite her owners having now moved out the old girl is still there and the mother and grandmother to Daisy and Shadow enthusiastically greeted me. Not much in the way of people, cats, dogs or chickens are left in the area. They’re clearing it for something.
Although Ka has been offered other work such as in Koh Lak after this construction job is finished, he would heavily prefer to come to America, where we have a perfectly good house in Las Vegas. In talking to some Thai people last night it was very much implied that they’re not giving the real stroke poke at some places. I’ve been scratching my head in talking to medical types whose attitude has mostly been befuddlement then nervousness. Is this a “I got the jabs and I’m fine” mentality, where it threatens their very existence to acknowledge the chaos and death that has occurred in the wake of these shots? Or is it “Don’t worry it’s all theater”?
And if it is the latter, is mass noncompliance the answer for all of us? Should we be doing antiterrorism activities like disabling bombs and filling vials with saline solution or vitamins? The fact that so many medical types still wear facemasks make me suspect that they’ve been bought in. Of course if I were an evil psycopath I wouldn’t want to give esteemed members of the medical community the real thing. Yet so many are dropping dead anyways, but perhaps not in Thailand’s medical community. Those ambulances are going somewhere though could they really not see it?
Attendance at Christian churches has been declining for decades, but I still wonder if some of this is a pandemic hangover. It’s hard to take the religion seriously when they cancelled Easter, which symbolizes the Resurrection of Christ from the dead. The bible says Fear Not in some form 365 times but we all needed to cower from our fellow man due to a respiratory virus. It’s been a hard pass for me too since then.
Is something happening here that might be concerning?
This chart of assets and liabilities makes the US gov debt look manageable. But it turns out the assets side of this balance sheet is counting everything: your house, your car, your pension fund the value of all stocks and bonds and bank accounts et cetera. So do they plan to take everything?
Of course taking everything comes back to a matter of enforcement. Obviously you have to pay some mercenary types to not only take all assets but also guard, maintain and otherwise protect them. Presumably this is some of what the Southern border problem is about. But when all of the funny money disappears this becomes about maintaining a homestead in a gold, goats and guns manner. Of course there’s the cyber reset and CBDC but even that gets a little tricky when we’re talking about unplugging people from the grid while simultaneously controlling their actions afterwards.
This should be overlayed with a population graph just to show how many more of us there are
Does this look sustainable? For them, I mean? Is this the “we pretend to work and you pretend to pay us” stage of collapse?
Perhaps today I’m an optopessimist. This song has been going through my head so I figured I’d share it. Happy Holy Saturday!
Do you think getting the enforcers of compliance on our side is the answer?
Great article , you are always entertaining when you tell us about your world .
I think most of the enforcers are dying at a faster rate than us. As we are all discovering, it's difficult/impossible to get mentally comprimised, dying people to change their minds. Those that do come after us are indeed the beserkers.
