Good'uns! I might borrow the mask puppeteer one "Those who know the least obey the best." Thinking of making a video compilation in June around Thailand (one year anniversary of 'mask mandate' being dropped), to show how prevalent mask wearing still is. But I'd much prefer not to make the video, and for everyone to throw their masks in the bin (as opposed to on the streets, like people do now)...
Phuket has been pretty good because it is such a tourist destination who are right now farang and very maskless. When venturing into the local population away from the beaches it's only at around 30-40%. That's a huge difference!
On a positive note, in Hua Hin they seem to be gradually taking them off, I would say about 30% of Thais are now maskless.
I just hope some jackass "top doctor" isn't going to publicly state that "the pandemic isn't over and good people wear masks" or it will be back to square one (as has happened several times).
