That's a great question! Will they burn it all trash can fire and start over, or just massage the data they have? I'm going to have to think about it. The more leaks they have to plug the greater the odds of whistleblowers coming forward, so just wholesale fraud make it up as they go type of things might get harder and will certainly get a lot more expensive. On the other side they could just statistically massage the existing trial results, which is safer for them as it provides a fig leaf of integrity/plausible deniability. In either case close scrutiny is not good for them...
