The Great American Eclipse has come and gone. No major catastrophe has happened as best I can tell. That’s a good thing!
I was looking at the chart for it, courtesy of Hilary Han:
Something like seven celestial bodies are set to align on April 20, an extremely rare once every several decades event. Aries signals new beginnings. I see three on the eclipse which were at 19 degrees/24. 319 where have I heard that before?
That had me checking some Bible verses quite randomly, from, actually, my physical copy of the Bible, which was given to me when I was 12:
Ecclesiasticus 19:24. “He that hath small understanding and feareth God, is better then one that hath much wisedom, and transgresseth the Law of the most High.”
Matthew 19:24. “Again I say to you, it is easier for a camel to pass through the eye of a needle than for one who is rich to enter the Kingdom of God.”
Revelation does not have a 19:24 verse. There is however 18:24. I’m going to lead on with the whole verse from 18:19 onwards:
Revelation 18:19-24: “Alas, Alas, great city, in which all who had ships at sea grew rich from her wealth. In one hour she has been ruined. 20: Rejoice over her, heaven, you holy ones, apostles and prophets. For God has judged your case against her. 21: A mighty angel picked up a stone like a millstone nd threw it into the sea and said:
“With such force will Babylon the Great City be thrown down, and will never be found again.”
22: No melodies of harpists and musicians, fluters and trumpeters, will ever be heard in you again.”
23: No light from a lamp will ever be seen in you again. No voices of bride and groom will ever be heard in you again. Because your merchants were the great ones of the world, all nations were led astray by your poison.
24: In her was found the blood of prophets and holy ones and all who have been slain on this Earth.”
For those reading this who are not of Christian persuasion I’d like to say that I’m not a very good Catholic either, having devoted myself to Buddhist teachings a few decades ago. That said I believe that all of these holy scriptures contain elements of the word of God and were also twisted in places to suit political agendas. What I am trying to do is more pattern recognition, which I suspect would happen subconsciously in many places.
“Lake Superior it’s said never gives up her dead.” The Wreck of the Edmund Fitzgerald:
I wanted to share a few quick photos from here. This is Maddie, my niece. She is not my brother’s biological daughter and a few weeks ago her father died, supposedly of some ultra fast acting tumor which took him out in a matter of weeks. He was 47. My brother and sister in law are not sure of his Covid jab status but did tell me that it was likely that he did take them due to some job that he was working at the time. I guess on the plus side, as Eliza told her, “Now I’m not the only one in the family whose real father is dead.”
Facebook messenger, once kept as the only reliable way to contact many people I know, is starting to lose its usefullness. They have some sort of synch thing with other devices that wants my phone number and other details. I change phone numbers in Thailand like I’m changing pants lately and our home phone in Las Vegas does not even have text message capabilities. So now since I’m not synching, or whatever, only about half to one third of my messages seem to be going through. I can’t even tell which ones are and which ones aren’t anymore.
I took a few pictures of the solar eclipse which didn’t go through on messenger. Las Vegas was around 50% occlusion at the peak which is almost identical to what it was in 2017. I took a picture not looking at the sun directly while I did. Can you see anything?
It seemed that the sun was dim in the back yard and it was almost identical to 2017 for me.
Do I look like my brother?
Girls!
Hope you’re enjoying the day! Perhaps the apocalypse has already begun.
For God’s sake let’s make it a peaceful one…
Interesting that you were thinking about Lake Superior. I have lived near the ocean AND Lake Superior. She is every bit as powerful.
Ladies ask your husbands . . . WOW - LOVED the response to THAT post!
Also, great explanation for millionaire right-offs and how they can work, esp with art. Damn.
And I SO want that shark to catch up with Gates.
And the Kipling quote. That's good for a course correction.
Great set, Amy!!!!!
