I watched some of the Australian Open. I'm not much a tennis fan but that guy is the bomb. I couldn't understand why the where's Waldo hecklers weren't ejected sooner and it seemed like they tilted the court against him a bit. The thrashing he gave that guy who laughed when he was deported in 2022 was awesome. The only historical comparator who took such a principled stand in an individual sport at the height of his career was boxer Muhammed Ali, who was given a $10,000 fine, stripped of his heavyweight title, and sentenced to 5 years in jail for refusing the draft. They are both delightfully quotable...
The other thing was the US Open. Really???? 3000+ people walking over the TexMex per MONTH, no vax, no nothing —- hoping to stay forever but “ “No-Vax” can’t stay for 2 weeks??!? I love my
country but double standard
much, America?
(Don’t get me wrong; I’d probably swim
over too if I lived where they live, I’m just saying, the double standard is ridiculous.)
I'm rooting for Novak on a very personal level there. My husband still cannot come to the USA to be with me without the Covid Vaccine. It's been over three years since I started that...still going nowhere. This fight regarding the US Open is very personal to me. I should write about it!
Nice collection today. I particularly liked the fish meme, it reminded me of a similar one with a lone fish swimming the opposite direction to the others with the caption "what if they're wrong and you're right?"
Also on the "how to be rebellious in 2023" meme, the one that jumped out at me was 'call your friends for no reason' - I do that often. Friends act surprised and some have ranted about if someone wants to talk to them they should send a text message first. Others always want to schedule me in at a specific time slot like it's a business meeting to be managed. Friends should be able to try to reach each other whenever they feel like it, spontaneity is the way.
Amen regarding the friends thing one big difference we always used to say between a friend and an acquaintance was "Who can you call with an emergency at any time of day or night and they will be available?" Then social media came along and now it has become who can you call at all?
They are all sharable! I'm sure the Dear Watson one is from Bob Moran though and I see no signature on it....hmmm. The CDC one was from Steve Kirsch. It's so deadpan but really is what those posters SHOULD say!
Djokovic ✊🏾

I’m looking for the

LOVE “No-vax”!

It’s completely ridiculous

You should. It’s a big bullshit show, and people’s lives are impacted. It’s not right, all for a big fraud. You must be pissed, like constantly.
That's a good summary lately. I guess I had to be away from my husband for a little while to realize what a crock of BS this is...
DO! I’d
sure read it.
He is, quite possibly, the GOAT, at least until the next GOAT comes along.
What I love was how he won with total grace and dignity. Through all the abuse, heckling, and injustice, he remains. Gotta love it.
Ali is the exemplar of that, for sure!
LOL, Amy. Needed this today.

"Hey Ed, can I rent your dingo's? I've got a woke/trans/covid infestation I need to take care of..."
WOO! HOO! Novak Djokovic.
Having done all -- stand. Eph 6:13
Awesome collection again Amy, and I love the variety from hilarious cartoons to thought-provoking quotes. The Novak one is awesome: Respect!
All of these are great, Amy! As a chicken momma, I especially like the ones about eggs.
Don't tell my daughter but I'm seriously looking into chickens for her birthday in Las Vegas...just trying to turn this old shed into a coop...
I bet she’ll LOVE that! I have really enjoyed raising chickens.
She loved it in Thailand!
Then she’ll love it here! We have 8 layers and one grouchy rooster!
