So far, all the swimming in the Seine has been in the 1.5K triathlon and 300m triathlon relay legs, but coming up are the 10K open-water swims. Through sewage. Good luck to the competitors.

Good luck indeed. I saw a clip of one swimmer throwing up at the end of the swim already...

It's disgusting - the Seine shouldn't even be an option.

Awful.

Washington DC! And those jerks took $95 dollars of it!

Under Kamala, they'd take $99 of it.

Great, simply great.

It never ceases to amaze the masterful orchestration of events and circumstances. For example, the right wing people always fall for the trick of security by increasing the policing powers of the Government. The conservative people have been programmed to be weak and afraid and always concede more power, thus diminishing their freedom, which is the necessary ingredient of real security.

So, now the British have a radical left government with a super-majority in the parliament, not too different from Nazi Germany 90 years ago, and conservative leaders like Nigel Farage speak about giving even more police power to the radical left.

Like I said, it's a master piece!

It's the left boot and the right boot of totalitarianism. The left comes armed with compassion for the downtrodden and nondiscrimination, which leads to higher elements of lawlessness and civilunrest. Then the right comes in supporting more police and more laws, not seeming to realize that these systems are meant subjugate everyone...

Really? I know of NO conservative who is in favor of more laws. Not one.

Look - nice set of "multiple areas", but you're missing the specific examples of [true] conservatives opposing new laws while supporting legislation that creates new regulations." I don't really expect you to go to the trouble of giving me specifics, but generally speaking, conservatives are for LESS government control, not more. That's all I'm saying. Those who don't...? well... hopefully they are called out for it. That's why we call them RINOs.

In history’s most highly anticipated closing ceremony, the Olympics will mercifully abort itself.

We shall see. It's sad that the Satanic Central Casting sideshow overtook the atheletes. I was happy to see that Novak Djokovich won the gold medal in tennis...

The Bee nailed the boxing paradigm. I'll see news here and there about the Olympics, but I don't watch TV nor follow the Olympics on web. I won't support this WEF construct. Moreover, I'm rather surprised that athletes will ignore patent health risks, as swimming in the Seine, to compete. For what? I read continually on web about people who develop seriously life-altering and damaging episodes through merely swimming in a stream or springs with the wrong bacteria although the water appears moving, fresh, and relatively clean.

I only wonder if they've vastly revamped their closing ceremony. Or have their egos become so inflated that they try an opening ceremony redux?

Agree with you on athletes agreeing to swim in the Seine. Awful.
