Another set of laugh out loud memes. Until the Ukraine bit. Totally agree with you. It's a grift.

But besides that - I love the dino one - my sister LOVES her thesaurus! I sent this meme to her!

LOL!

This was a laugh then cry type of meme post. I'd just watched the Ukraine video and found it extremely thought provoking. But yes I had a lot of funny ones in this bunch!

I just got back from visiting relative in Poland (my grandmother was from Poland).

They think this war is about the US wanting the gas and oil reserves in eastern Ukraine. That had not occurred to me, but if fits with Iraq and other cases where "freedom" is important to the US only when there is petroleum involved.

"It's just business" is what one relative said to me.

It was also a bit odd to see a lot of big black SUV's with Ukrainian license plates in Poland. Some of the Uktrainian "refugees" look a bit shady.

Yes.

"War is just a racket. A racket is best described, I believe, as something that is not what it seems to the majority of people. Only a small inside group knows what it is about. It is conducted for the benefit of the very few at the expense of the masses."

Some good bellyaching ones in there 😂

The one about the face preferences I found particularly funny.

Re: weapons of war, or really any kind of tech. It’s not the tech itself that yields advantage, it’s how it’s used. Even the fanciest toys don’t mean shit if you haven’t trained on it or know how to use them strategically. A horrible, bloody war profiteer’s boondoggle.

Saving that coffee mug picture.

When you've been hurt by centralized/modern medicine or have had your health thrive when you do the exact opposite of what they tell you it's hard to care about what some of them say anymore. There are still great one's out there but the last three years have been a chafing of the wheat.

That 420 sign reminds me of back in the day before all the announcements in the NYC subway were automated. even these days, if you find yourself on a Manhattan-bound C train approaching Brooklyn Heights, you can still hear the conductor telling the passengers that it's "Jay Street, High Street next."

i think every high school dirtbag i knew made a recording of that. surprised there haven't been more songs that use it https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=J0km983x6jY

LOL Interesting! The whole 420 to Stony Ridge thing was a well known joke around the Toledo area after they revamped the I-80 to I-280 interchange and put that sign up (late 1990's or so). I've passed it by a few dozen times myself. Stony Ridge also has a Flying J truck stop....

next time i'm on my way to detroit i'll check out the flying j. wondering if they have a "special" i.e. small bag in a large styrofoam container like some of the pizza places here have.

soon as you cross the ohio line from ny there are big signs warning of mega jail time for transportation of contraband. there are also special ttrashcans where you're supposed to throw it if the signs succeed in scaring you.

After Colorado legalized (as one of the first states to do so) Kansas state troopers liked to position themselves up and down the Interstate 70 corridor crossing between states. I got stopped twice on that section, both times for complete BS reasons, both just looking for drugs. Thankfully pot never agreed with me much. I can imagine the job interview for the Flying J: Interviewer: Can you pass a drug screening?

Applicant: I live in Stony Ridge on route 420 and I'm trying to get a job as a cashier at the Flying J. What do you think?

manager: the owner will smoke you up and if you can still count to ten, you're hired

Great memes as always. You are spot on about Russia vs Ukraine. There is a bit of twist though aside from it being a racket. The US genuinely feels threatens by the Russians and Chinese. Instead of making the US stronger and better our betters have elected to to make Russia and China worse. We (US) have been running that gambit for a while though. And It will not continue to work. Gotta hope they don’t do something really crazy.

My take on Russia/China is that TPTB had a bit of a hiccup after WWII where Russians got out of control, and were a genuine threat to centuries old power structures in the west, so the populace got 40 odd years of reprieve.

However as the threat was removed in 1990, we are rolling back the years to new feudalism, and as such new Russia and China are much more suitable in terms of governance systems for the "future". Ie super centralized, can do absolutely whatever you want without any even philosophical scrutiny.

Thus the main issue for them to resolve is the US/Europe collapse it, and get us to be like them including social credit system/CBDC's/AI governed security state and the way to achieve it is to collapse the west economically - through this crisis resurrect it in "new and improved" China like governance model.

Pandemic was the start of "the end", this Ukraine war is the next stage (EU for example is directly funding it through fake sanctions, ie energy $$$ flows EU>India>Russia, instead EU>Russia.) historical western economic collapse is the likely next step. Not sure how disability/death caused by the miracle cure will play into it - ie if this will increase further to add to the punch or level off.

Bond graph nicely outlines where we are, and I am not exactly looking forward to where we will be in 2025. So surprisingly, or not so surprisingly TPTB are finally hoping to eliminate economic power from the places which have at least nominal democracies, or traditions (as practice is long gone), to the Brave New World.

They simply do not like even nominal obstacles to exercise of power contrary to their own. Corporate structures support the exercise of their will very nicely, and those pesky useless pleb eaters will have to be taken care of, especially now that they can have AI/robots to replace most of that labour which was previously necessary to build the power base or defend vs the enemy.

So yes, they are funding the war, and teenagers are killing each other instead of drinking vodka, but $$$ is jut the means, and we may find ourselves in a bit of a pickle like those teenagers wandering WTF are they doing this summer in Bakhmut sooner rather than later.

As usual I hope that whatever is going on gets delayed further into the future, as there seems to be some disagreements with current trajectory as the appearance of RFK in the public sphere indicates - there is at least some sort of a split in TPTB sphere, so that he is allowed to participate in public and present a definite alternative which we did not have in years if not decades.
