In an effort to alleviate my headaches and other health issues I have taken a great degree of interest in the water that I am drinking and cooking with. At one point many moons ago I had a Kangen alkaline ionic water filter, but it fell out of favor after my miscarriage in 2009. For the past few years whether I stay in the USA or Thailand I generally drink mineral water, though I often use a basic Brita water filter with the tap water in Las Vegas.
COVIDsteriahad a link to a site where I could see what was contained in my Las Vegas water. You can check it out for your own area. Holy Crikes. Being 451 times EWG’s recommended guidelines for arsenic and 721 times guidelines on haloacetic acids is not encouraging.
Of course there are some caveats. The Las Vegas Valley Water District sends us mail once or twice per year or so informing us how clean their tap water is and it is technically below EPA thresholds (sometimes there is no threshold) on the 32 contaminants listed. EWG is of course selling filtration systems and the like. There is a belief that the safety threshold for drinking water is being kept artificially high in order to protect vested industries who are poisoning us. This same line of thought is used for those concerned about EMF and wireless radiation.
Still almost everything on that list is carcinigenic and I don’t want arsenic in my water or radium or any of this stuff. It just adds to the myriad ways they are trying to poison us. My question about this is since Las Vegas relies on surface tap water, have the levels of these toxins been perhaps bioaccumulating due to some crisscross grid patterns in the sky?
Our thoughts hold more power than we have been told.
I was pondering this morning the issue of why “they” hate us so much. I think profit motives only go so far, but on a metaphysical level if those at the top had sacrificed their first born to Moloch, would they not want to see the benefits of the deal over us plebs? They would need their lives to appear opulent and grand with servants attending to their every whim, while our lives, by comparison, are short, unhappy and powerless. They’d even want us to know that they can act with impunity to take our lives at any moment and have total control. That would all be part of the bargain with Satan.
Regarding the restaurant minimart update, well, I didn’t do it on the floor paint. The last few days have been spent cleaning the camp looking for my husband’s lost wallet/Thai ID card (never found) and then yesterday finally renting a motorbike and waiting in the Amphur for five hours to get a new one.
I was pondering some days ago why paint trays are not sold in stores that sell paint in Thailand. Here is an example of one in stock at Home Depot:
They sell them in the USA often even in dollar stores next to paint brushes and the like. They have grooves that allow the paint to evenly disburse across the roller and then lets excess paint pool in the bottom of the pan. They are wonderful things to have along with plastic covering to protect the floor especially as drips are inevitable on high ceiling areas.
I lamented to my husband months ago that fixing the floor was going to be the most challenging aspect of getting the restaurant area renovated and looking beautiful. The prior owners’ painters had carelessly dripped white paint all over the red brick inlaid tiles and being that it was very old dribble stains it was going to be near impossible to fully clean up. For a floor area you mostly want it to be a neutral color and looking clean so that people’s eyes go to other things with your statement colors (statement colors are bright I.e. red or yellow, which draw your eye to that first) such as your red ice cream cooler or perhaps the red minimart sign outside. Normally in a corporate shop they want your eyes on the sign out front and then on the merchandise that is being sold.
Painting the floor canary yellow, being the most vibrant statement color there is, will thus draw everyone’s eyes to the floor first. It would have been my last pick though admittedly from a distance it does draw your eye in. Sigh. It wasn’t me.
I really need to get back into painting again. It’s been nice to take a break from the Internet for the last few days.
This is a small pencil drawing I did of Detroit Red Wings goaltender Dominic Hasek. It was sold at a charity auction and was later signed by him in perfect complimentary blue ink. The buyer of the work graciously shared the image with me on Facebook and mentioned that the goaltender was curious who the artist was and thought I was very talented.
I sometimes lament how much art I have sold or given away over the years without so much as taking a picture of it first. At least part of the multi pronged assault on humanity had to come through elevating sometimes literal shit into art while forcing many to toil in poverty or better yet, to give up and take a day job working for the state. I have my doubts that that was done entirely over monetary concerns.
What’s in your water?
really cool the hockey player autographed and appreciated your art!
municipal tap water is horrid everywhere I've lived without a well to avoid trying it. and I agree that the "action levels" for toxic contaminants are set ridiculously high to avoid having to do anything about them.
Have you tried wild lettuce for pain? I have been taking it daily for years with no side effects just less pain.
