So I live on the US Mexico border in San Diego County in CA. I have pretty much lived in this border region for my entire life…72 years. I grew up with Mexicans (both legal and illegal) in a small farming community 30 miles north of the Mexican border.
To say I am familiar with this region, is an understatement. Over the past four years, the flood of ‘migrants’ (99.5% of them illegally) into this region has been unprecedented.

They basically just disappear into the fabric of life in the USA. And likely will never appear at their immigration hearing.
This ‘process of entry’ is quite different from what you have outlined here for you and your husband’s (and others) journey to try to enter the USA in a ‘legal way’. And that’s just one of the many ‘things’ that’s so ‘f***ed up here in the USA.
I have read some of your posts and insights about this subject matter before. The process is day and night in part due to simple geography: Thailand is about the farthest thing from a border country to the USA as you can get. So overwhelmingly in order for a Thai passport holder to get to the USA, they will have to board an airplane, where it is extremely easy for them to control the flow of traffic. No visa to the USA=no boarding the plane. It is that simple.
I have heard that the NGOs have started penetrating even into Asia, but for the sake of my own conscience I'd rather do things the right way. The most prominent unknown is that I do not want to be seperated from my husband physically.

PSS: I was just on a holiday in Cabo San Lucas Baja CA Sur Mexico. I was with a male friend and the subject came up about Expats living in Mexico. The financial requirements to get temporary or permanent foreign resident status will vary according to what Mexican consulate you apply for this status in the USA. It’s kind of nutty, but overall the Mexicans want its foreign expat migrants to have some income and money in the bank to be able to live there on a permanent basis.
To obtain a permanent residency visa for Cozumel, at the Dallas consulate we needed the above income/investment info as well as a criminal record report and a Dr. note indicating health. Mexico wants you to be healthy, wealthy, and crime-free.

I recall now that I had once read the NGOs didn’t want to force vax the new arrivals (illegal) because of the sticky international laws. At that time I remember rolling my eyes and muttering the word “Bullshit” to myself.
I had forgotten about that while I have looked for evidence to see whether or not the mass illegal hordes were being given the vax treatment. Riley Gaines who’s hubby (UK citizen) is having same issues as Ka. She mentioned this very topic (covid vax) in a recent tweet.
The more evidence I find the more I am convinced the vax was not much of a topic as the multitudes poured across the border. Jabbing them should have been a leftist’s wet dream. These are the same people who made up the NGO’s and other welcome wagons. Getting the new comers to vax up should have been very easy to pull off. Take it or walk home. We must remember both the vax campaign and the large swaths of illegals both started around the same time (early 2021) back when the vaxxies were all souped up.
Conclusion….INTERNATIONAL LAW MY ASS!! These vaxxies broke too many laws to count I highly doubt a few Intl ones would have gotten in their way. The vaxxies were most likely told to stand down.
So I ask, WHY? ….Not a good sign for those who took it!!

I haven't been on that website in a few years, so they may have it now. It was definitely a verbotem topic in 2021/2022 when I was searching for information, or at a bare minimum they made the information extremely difficult to find.
In the end I went straight to websites on panel physician checks which were directly affiliated with the US government. Religious waivers technically existed but my feeling was strong that there was a quota system in place to keep the numbers of such allowed as close to 0 as was humanly possible. That is exactly how it played out in my experience.
Discretion and compassion need to make comeback for those in these positions of power. Often they just default to the top down orders given to them by the criminals on high...
PSS: I was just on a holiday in Cabo San Lucas Baja CA Sur Mexico. I was with a male friend and the subject came up about Expats living in Mexico. The financial requirements to get temporary or permanent foreign resident status will vary according to what Mexican consulate you apply for this status in the USA. It’s kind of nutty, but overall the Mexicans want its foreign expat migrants to have some income and money in the bank to be able to live there on a permanent basis.

To obtain a permanent residency visa for Cozumel, at the Dallas consulate we needed the above income/investment info as well as a criminal record report and a Dr. note indicating health. Mexico wants you to be healthy, wealthy, and crime-free.

I've written many stories about it. I first came to Thailand in 2003 with my American boyfriend and through a series of strange happenstance we ended up here far longer than I had planned on staying. In 2011 during our protracted breakup, through a series of dreams, synchronicities and other oddities I began to believe that God had called me to find my soulmate in Thailand.
I thought this Thai man was going to originally be from the Isaan area of the country in the Northeast; that he would be of the astrological sign Scorpio, that we would marry, have children and that I would make him a visa to come to the USA. I also thought I would change my last name to his making me the only person on Earth with that name.
The line of potential suitors was very long and overwhelming and I did not even share what my criteria was which I was looking for. My American ex boyfriend assumed that I was having a mental breakdown and demanded full custody of our daughter. In late 2011 while in Phuket I invested in a beachfront bar and restaurant on Racha Island where my doggedly persistent bartender Oh, who had been pursuing me for months, finally won me over, despite being an Aries with a birthday of April 10, 1985. I got pregnant with our daughter the first month we tried, we married soon afterwards, and he did indeed come to the USA with me.
Oh never wanted me to change my last name to his and as the years went by I came to discover that this was because his birth paperwork was not real. His Laotian mother had put Oh up for adoption of sorts when she needed legal documents for him to attend school during a time when Oh's Thai dad Father Sukwan had run off with a mistress. You are correct. A few family members of mine including my brother and older daughter have asked me repeatedly why I think Ka will do well in the USA when Oh hated it so much. I've told them that the situation is very different: charismatic Oh had many many friends in Thailand, much support from family, had his Mom and brothers and sister here and was beloved even up North on the Isaan land. Then he came to the USA where he had me to fall back on and that was it.
I don't think they should have denied his tourist visa application the first time and forced him into an immigrant visa. The entire situation was unnatural and forced.
