Thanks for the feedback! I've been sick feeling a little better but a dry cough. It has been pouring down rain our electric was out for four hours today and I'm taking my writing in a personal direction. So good timing!

I just hope that you and fam are doing okay. 💔

RE: your personal side to your writing is very brave, very poignant, and very funny at times.

Did you get Covid again you think?

Be gentle with yourself. You may be in a battle right now. You are strong. 🙌

I quite frankly don't know what happened. Here's the timeline: I was sick 7 weeks ago, for maybe 5 days (days 4 and 5 pretty much better). My daughter was also sick but I'd guess for 3 days. Hubby never really got sick. It is the rainy season, which is the sick season here. About 3 days ago my daughter had a high fever and was complaining about her ears hurting. We picked her up some medicine for an ear infection and bought some fruit. That afternoon a friend came over, who was concerned about Eliza and gave us all types of homeopathic treatments (i.e. he cooked boiled rice with crushed black pepper, ginger, onion and salt, and also made her a poultice of crushed shallots) My girl went to sleep and we drank alcohol with him. I woke up the next morning with an insane high fever. Daughter had a terrible dry cough. I took some tylenol, slept, and woke up with a hacking cough. It's different from last time in that hacking cough is not productive at all. Hubby once again is not sick. Both me and my daughter had horrible congestion and we snorted salt water like crackheads (wait do crackheads snort? I never really did drugs). It helped but trying to gargle salt water for my cough led to me throwing up (which did make the cough go away for several hours at least!). Day three with pouring rain and it seems to be getting better my fever broke my cough seems to be going away. Knock on wood. Still trying to figure out how to sing Saying a Lie. I'd love to at least give them a recording soon but I have the farthest thing from a music studio. You'll be lucky if a rooster doesn't crow in the background! Now I know I can hit the notes though I remember singing Staying Alive at karoake many moons ago I had a good tenor support who couldn't quite hit the high notes so we supported each other. I get super pitchy when I go from low to high like that. LOL way back in the day though the most classic thing I ever sang at karaoke was actually Run to the Hills by Iron Maiden, with my brother. Andy is not a singer so her goes for this terrible low death metal sound. I went opera first soprano raising the notes by and entire octave. I still hear about how infamous and memorable and hilarious that performance was even 20 years later. Well I'm going to try...

Just get healthy. Get rest. Don't stress. Okay? Big hugs.

And I do want to hear this spoof song at some point. Prayers for you and Eliza and 16.

I might raise you on that here is what happened. I published this as part of Kindle Vella. Evil Amazon has an exclusivity contract that they brought up about how they could not publish this section if it was freely available on the Internet. I.e. it could be paywalled on Substack but not open publicly so I had to remove it. I have been thinking of putting my first nine chapters in this on Substack to paid subscribers. I might do that in a few minutes

Well thanks for shredding my soul with that, Amy/Genevieve. Like I feel a little nauseous. That was like watching an indie movie late at night.

This is going to haunt me a bit. You are simply an off the charts, magnificent storyteller. Wow.

As a side note my name is Genevieve Amy, and my husband's last name is Sukwan. I insisted during a time in middle school directly related to bullying before that I was referred to as Amy. It didn't really stick
