When I was about ten my science teacher told the class a story, that his two kids had begged him for a television, but he wouldn't buy one until he decided to do so as a science experiment. After a week of his children spending every available second in front of the tv, no longer listening, being disrespectful, he took a wet blanket, draped it over the tube as they were watching and put a sledge hammer through it.
I think most of the kids in that classroom were traumatized by that story, but I loved it and have never forgotten. That was 40 years ago. His name was Mr Banke. There is a wetland near a school in town named after him, I drive by regularly.
The TV here has had a veritable sledgehammer for at least three months which is normal. My grandmother was a conservationist and was instrumental in creation of something called Toledo Metroparks now. I understand screen time has limits....
I liked the joke with online petition. I mean, so many men just let them do anything they want and when you ask why they didn't resist, they will tell you but I did vote for other party or I did sign this paper once but what else can I do? It's really pathetic sometimes 😅
LOL my brother and his new wife still live there in the house I grew up in. The new city logo is "You'll do better in Toledo". There's an emerging sense of humor about the place I'll give it that. For the longest time growing up everyone was trying to keep up the neighborhood, to channel the movie The Sixth Sense. In the last five years I know of one zip code on the east side that made the top place for heroin fentanyl overdoses in the USA (and almost certainly the world) and the FBI had it as their number one location in the USA for sex trafficking. Made the list of the highest home price declines in the country in 2021 too, according to ZeroHedge. We're number 1!
Yep he used to be the sponsor for an LPGA tour. Yep he talked about Toledo all the time in his role on M*A*S*H and yes he really was a native. I had a meme about that awhile ago. Katie Holmes was also from there BFF 3 went to high school with her
AWESOME collection, once again! Thank you for the laughs.
These are precious. Keepers.
Thanks
Sadhguru is cool. :)

Thank you, again!

I am actually going to look up Toledo and read about it now.
You have painted a picture and I want to know more!

Oh Katie.
I feel like her life must have been a Twilight Zone "this is so exciting! and then off the cliff into Hollywood//Scientology doom"
"She was a quiet girl. Kept her head down." BFF 3 said. I feel her energy!
