What an ordeal! One can't help but feel for you, Amy. Of course, this debilitating kind of kerfuffle won't happen once we've all swapped freedom for convenience and got our digital IDs. Well, not unless you happen to have done something daft to screw up your social credit score. Like losing the cat?

Seriously, he looks a sweetie. Hope you get him back.

I hope so too...he's a great cat and had thus far been a good travelling cat but care has to be taken with cats and dogs around unknown areas where they have no established territory. I'll check for a print shop around and put up some posters...

Phew, your Grand Adventure did end well, and I hope that you soon will find Sprout. Keep checking at the bus-station where he 'escaped' and it will be a happy Family Reunion.

My advice to you is now to take a couple of days off to digest and let loose of all the stress of this week, so that with a 'full tank' you can face the Next Hurdle, i.e. finding a way to exempt Ka from taking any vaccines for your trip to the USA. Note that a friendly non-brainwashed doctor may provide an Exemption letter or even provide the vax-passport without having jabbed Ka. Since we are in Thailand, also a 500,- THB or 1.000,- THB slipped to the nurse to inject the waste-bin instead of Ka's arm is a possibility.

I've thought of that bribe route too but I'm pretty sure I am not going to be in the room for it so I really need Ka 100% on board or something done in advance. I'm going to be checking all angles but I'll keep very public about it. If something does happen in that room it's going to be documented...

Speaking as someone who has tried and bitterly failed in talking Thai people out of vaccines, there is a very deep cultural divide regarding vaccination between Thai people and Westerners.

i hope you get your furry friend back. they have a way of finding their people and their homes.

have you two considered the caribbean angle? there are boats from the islands if you know what i mean...

At this point the Caribean angle might be cheaper than all of the crap we're doing! The closest visa exempt for Thai nationals country is Cuba. That's assuming Ka had his passport, but still...

I'll read this when you define administrative state.

I'll go with a broad definition of licensing, approval and regulatory agencies which would include but are not limited to anyone issuing permits. This would include things like DMVs, license nd registration departments, visa and immigration offices, tax departments and yes now even medical records, which ties in neatly to the CBDC tracking tagging system...

Who created these agencies and why did they create them? They didn't create themselves.

Normally there is an ostensible and real reason. The purpose of a driver's license, for example, is to certify that you are capable of operaating a motor vehicle on public roadways. But then your driver's license has to be renewed every four years and can be revoked for any number of reasons that have little to do with the original ostensible reason, such as by lapsing on your car insurance payment for even one day. Then more fees and fines are added and the state grows bigger and more leviathon every step of the way, and takes more and more money to support...

Wealthy interests put public officials in power and instruct them on what they are expected to do. The wealthy interests have meetings; they conspire; they plan for the long term. They have an end-state in mind and everything they do is carefully planned out to reach that end-state.

The transnational capitalist class, and behind them, the Luciferian Brotherhood.

"So much power in the hands of such small people is dangerous." Amen to that statement. We now have all of these people who are capable of making life altering or even life or death decisions regarding our lives...and yet everybody thinks that is okay...
