It’s fascinating how genuine solutions to problems are not appreciated
I literally wouldn’t recognize a single one of them if they walked up to me and said hello. At best I might say “You look like one of those Kardasian chicks.”

I’m busy bee on some lower priority edits that needed clearing out for FactSet. I just got off the call for funeral home conglomerate Carriage Services. They say that deaths were down 9% from Q3 2022 to Q3 2023 in the US states they operate in, which they are blaming on Covid pull forward deaths. Why were the numbers so elevated in 2021 and 2022 then? The word vaccine is never found in these calls. They said that preneed sales are up a lot, where people buy in advance of a funeral. Are people considering their inevitable mortality more just hypothetically, perhaps because of so many deaths around them? Or are some of them very sick and hence likely to need funeral services in the near future?
I’m proud of my 10 year old daughter she got her very first A on a spelling exam! She’s struggled with that for years and the homeschool program was too easy on it because it always gave the letters in mixed up form instead of having her write it freehand. I’m glad she’s been studying!
From a cash flow perspective this is starting to look like both a genocide and a gigantic land grab. I’m of the opinion that God’s chosen people are the ones who are alive now.

Speaking of land grabs we borrowed a friend’s motorbike a few days ago and drove the only exit out of this area anymore past the military barracks. They look like they are constructing a wall around that road. This will make it extremely easy for the military to set up a checkpoint and/or block access to this area in the future.
I decided to check for updates on the Maui fires. That one has fallen out of even alternative coverage. Eric West looks like he’s lost a lot of weight, but Lahaina has reopened to the public. Mostly he just talked about more anomolies of the fire, though I am curious how the bureaucracy is proceeding to steal the land:
I think John Carter did an excellent job in this explaining the way the entire system is accountable to no one. I’ve seen that very well with my husband’s visa: the hospital said I needed to talk to the US Embassy about vaccine exemptions, who hasn’t answered my specific inquiry, but who claims on their website that such exemptions are up to the discretion of the panel physician! Who won’t see my husband without a Covid vaccine beforehand. Everybody is shuttling responsibility to somebody else.
The waiver route is not going to work at least based on google’s average processing time of 36 months! That is 3 years, for those keeping track at home. Now I don’t tend to trust Google for much of any advice anymore. The utility of the website in search has dropped to almost zero since Covid. I used to think that if my daughter was looking for a certaain type of Barbie doll and if google told me it was available in store at a Target 3 miles away, that this was true. If google said that FedEx was open on Sunday from 9:00 AM to 7:00 PM, or if google said there was a laptop repair shop at this certain location in Thalang, I trusted them. At this point they can’t even accurately tell me what the temperature is outside or when the Chinese New Year is!
That said a three year wait time is beyond any reason. So I’m back to the drawing board of looking for doctors and vaccine exemptions. I’m sure I can pay my way out of this situation. I’m just not sure where to go to do so! Google sure ain’t going to tell me.
For the rest of us the only way out methinks is mass non-compliance with the death machine.
