I think I will. I'm just going to keep hammering away at it until I do. At least we're past the twiddling our thumbs stage of waiting months for answers. It's just a matter of showing up and standing our ground...

It does make me wonder how many jobs would be left if it wasn't for the bureaucracy. It's got to make up 50% of the economy at least by this point...

Amy— regarding spelling stategy:

Most teachers just give kids lists of words and say, "Memorize these", without ever teaching them how . Why? Because they themselves haven't a clue how to learn to spell!

There is ONE strategy that all the best spellers use, and that is to make a clear VISUAL image in their "mind's eye" of the word. Tell your daughter to imagine a chalkboard or whiteboard in her mind, and clearly "print" the word that she wants to spell on her mental board in big, bold letters. And "take a picture" of it, mentally. With practice, she will get very good at this. It is more efficient by far than memorizing by internally "saying" the letters auditorially. Then for a test, she just has to go to her mental "spelling file" and "read" the words off it! Have her start with short words like "CAT" to get the concept. And for longer words, break them up into separate syllables for increased clarity. Good luck!

Thanks for the suggestion! I will mention that to her. She's just been doing memorization so far but that might be a great shortcut. In Thailand we didn't have a blackboard though...

It was an imagined blackboard not an actual one.

Good luck with your hoop jumping. The best form of exercise. You're showing great restraint! (I'd need to do a lot of screaming... )

The “it’s not my job” passing the Buck. No one cares and no one wants to care. How crazy that people can cross our southern border, without a it seems any accountability, and someone like you

Cant even get an opportunity to make practical steps to enter this country?

How is it that if you had money power you would just contact someone pull strings and presto?

How is it that Hamas has weapons that most likely came from our surrender in Afghanistan and now being used against our Allie’s who are bullying their enemies to create more bloodshed and hatred and the military machine keeps its endless war going.

Because they hate us for our freedoms which we don’t really have, but they sure like the weapons we make that have been gifted by a shadow president who’s black but we are all racist and can’t say that!

Bc the guy who’s acting as president is a complete fool who got 81 million votes and can’t even say one thing noble or respectful, and if you’re trying to get into this country legitimately you can’t. But if you invade it you get a free phone and monthly income and as adult you just got to say “ nah I ain’t doing that” I ll focus on the small things and pray

Mightily that we correct the controlled demolition of what used to be a country and decent Earth.

Great stuff as always. That John Carter guy is a very good writer. I need to go back thru some of his other reads. The Bud Light Military from last week was phenomenal.
