there were planes. i didn't see it but i have friends who did. immediately after tower 2 got hit, everyone on the ground in the surrounding area felt explosions coming from the tower basements. all of this was recorded by the us geological survey seismic monitoring station in pennsylvania - which didn't actually register the demolition of the towers since the explosions were up in the air.
larry silverstein, owner of the towers confessed on live tv to detonating world trade 7, which housed fbi and irs investigatory units. it also was completely undamaged, although mysterious fires started on the upper floors there after tower 2 was hit.
we don't know for sure who detonated the two main towers.
the "ground zero" site was allowed to burn for months because dousing it with water would have caused an explosion that could have damaged the deutsche bank gold vault in the "bathtub."

One which I have experience with is from living in Las Vegas when the harvest Festival shooting happened in 2017: the official story there was also clearly bunk. However a lot of conspiracy theorists got trapped in this black hole of nobody died there/everyone involved was crisis actors. I had a friend whose nephew and girlfriend were at that concert and the girl got shot (she lived but was injured) and I was standing in line in a gas station listening to guy talking on his phone behind me asking for medical updates about someone he knew who was in the hospital. Those people were not plants and clearly some real people at the real concert died/were injured. One as to be careful of mind traps like that...

It is very hard to fake on the ground observations of real people you know. My experience on the ground is most people are good but all it takes is a few bad actors and unlimited money and the needle can be moved all sorts of ways. seismologists all over the place that day said the multiple tremors from all three collapsed buildings looked just like those from demolition charges.
planes or no planes, buildings built like the WTC would not melt steel support beams from refined kerosene (jet fuel) fires.
