read somewhere that for CA meet its current goal of phase out of gas vehicles it would be like if everyone plugged in 8 more refrigerators… what they really want is the 15 minute cages.

Even the 15 minute cages, err, cities are not likely to meet goals especially as the RORI isn't considered for all of the smart devices in play in such places. What I see is a controlled demolition of the things that made modern societies modern under the guise of banking cartel follow the money investment, then propped up with a cover story of saving the planet...

Yup. Scam. Remember Soyndra? Scam. Crooked E, Enron - scam. Lots of those scams... I will say I started unplugging my appliances (Microwave, TV, Wifi router, computer) at bed time, reduced my AC by turning it off or reducing when I run it. I grill charcoal because it is hot outside where I am, but cool enough to sleep with a fan when sun goes down. I found the always on appliances suck WAAAY more energy than I knew. So now, it is switch off at night, don't turn on till mid day ... and my power bill went down. Oh, there still is ONE thing I haven't figured out - that is the water heater and how much it sucks and when to keep the hot water heated. Might want to get myself a solar shower I am thinking. At least for washing cat bowls outside ha ha ha. Or taking that 'shower' myself...

Water heaters are almost never used in Thailand. Instead many houses have a water heating device above the shower which heats the water while you are bathing and the rest of the house is room temperature only. Of course Thailand never goes below freezing in some areas doing that would lead to burst water pipes in freezing temperatures

And San Francisco wants to phase out new natural gas water heaters in 2027 and natural gas furnaces in 2029. As one of the interviewed electricians said, upgrading to a gas water heater and a gas furnace will require an extra 100 amps of electrical service. That will be like each house running 6 hair dryers at the same time. More Cali grid catastrophes in store.

i can’t use my hairdryer & electric space heater at the same time without blowing a fuse.

planning on replacing my water heater in 2026 whether or not it’s necessary.

this is insanity.

This is complete insanity! But the people in San Fransicko won’t do a damn thing. The city’s motto should be, “I GO ALONG TO GET ALONG!” (while getting screwed).

Many cities there are so polluted you can barely see them from the air. Of course what these mudwits are good at is causing catastrophes and blaming it on the people aka overpopulation or climate change

Assuming those candles are regular store-bought ones, they’re a petroleum product: i.e., emitting fossil-fuel CO2 when we burn them. Before industrialization and petroleum, natural-fat candles were a luxury item.

Not having enough heat creates a need for wood which is very CO2 dependent. Same as it ever was

We’re planning to live off-grid when we move to our land in Idaho, but our system will have a backup of two very large natural gas powered backup generators for when the solar is insufficient. It’s gonna be an adventure, says DS! 😬

I think more people should live off grid there's never been a better time to make it happen. They try to regulate you into cities but why? It's a simple control mechanism

Amy, in the comments of that twitter video they say it is a gas explosion.

Butane or propane, from crude oil or natural gas.

It's possible because I was expecting many sparks and smoke.

But I don't understand how liquefied gas is loaded in a car tank using a flexible hose? I guess it should be a rigid pipe. But probably the safety depends on the proper seal of the two parts that come in contact when the liquid enters the deposit.

If many people use that hose, maybe it wears out too soon, or it gets damaged and the next person does not know how to check if it is safe to use or what to do.

The normal pressure gasoline and diesel fuel seem far more safer than real liquefied gas, in this regard.

What do you think?
