My poll was inspired by this interesting thread on Twitter.
I notice a developing divide in the anti-Covidcon space between the pessimists and the optimists. I tend to straddle a spiritual middle ground there probably best summarized by the late Zelenko: there is no question that people are going to die. It’s just a matter of how many.
For the pessimists this trajectory of never ending loss of freedom and human rights will continue for the foreseeable future. They’ll bring back the facemasks and people will comply. They’ll continue talking up the “vaccines” in the face of crumbling real world data and keep the noose tight around the necks of unjabbed until people are forced into the system through economic desperation. It won’t matter that these are all lies that started it. Americans are still taking off their shoes and throwing out more than 3 ounces of liquid to get on airplanes after all. Some people need jobs.
The optimists point to declining trust in institutions and resistance movements. They think a dam is going to break and there is pushback, some even politically. Perhaps this is like a pendulum and we have reached the maximum threshold of totalitarian police state so it has to finally start swinging back. Perhaps that point won’t be reached until he 500 million survivor slaves are all living in pods eating bugs.
I tend to be a pragmatist. Fourth turnings can be chaotic, unpredictable and messy. By their very nature most of us have never lived through a time like this. It’s going to be a bumpy ride.
Both me and my daughter are feeling better. She woke up this morning pretty much back to normal. My very light cold symptoms seem to have gone away, though I still feel sore and clammy. I might try to buy a Covid-19 home test a little later just for my own curiosity. If we really just rebound from here I’ve definitely gone through worse things.
I think losing trust in mainstream institutions is a very healthy thing for the population. These people didn’t deserve it. Take responsibility for yourself and loved ones and protect your own family’s health…
Friday funny: I got a reply on another substack and someone said I was "LOA". I thought that was weird that someone would think I was on Leave of Absence or maybe it was cryptic insult to my logic. And then of course, I realized it was an acronym for my name. 😆😆
Yay!! Great to hear ya'll are feeling better! Keep practicing healthy habits and get some good days under your belt.
On the survey, previously I was a research each jab, but now I don't trust any of them after the jab fandango.
