That CIA distraction one... loved it! A long time ago I got a call out of the blue from a head hunter telling me it was probably a good time for a step up and a career move. And after a few minutes conversation I asked him where he got my name. When he gave me some dumb "I never reveal my sources" answer - I knew he was just trying to get me out of the territory. I was doing fantastic damage to the competition. LOL! So fun when your intuition kicks in!
Search (not google!) the guy who did the experiments on water, froze it and see how they each turn out when different words are said! It’s amazing. I’ve been much more positive with everyone, including the dog since seeing the results. Wish I could make that easier on you by recalling his name.
If you live in the arctic circle it could make your winter solstice sun only between 1 and 2 PM. I can't help you too much then but on the plus side it won't get dark until 3 AM in June and the sun will be up at 5 AM anyways...
Oh but it does....the sun needs to be directly overhead at noon...like our Native Americans say, it is like cutting a blanket off one end and sewing it on the other.
I really really hate!! daylight savings time!!! A lot of people do...and since the majority of the world no longer does this (nor does AZ god bless them as you do NOT want the heat of the day to extend the blessed releif of the sun going down at an hour when most people are thinking of bed)...I think we need to just stop. REgular time is based on the sun overhead in midday...and I had to get up in the DARK again this am!!
I really think we humans need to live like nature intended ...and not try and force our bodies to go against our circadian rythms for 10 months out of the year!!
Just my opinion!
You would be amazed at the amount of people who think changing the clocks actually makes the hours of sun last longer...when really, it is just the normal cycle of the seasons!!
I've never thought that way at all. I deal in time zones and differences between winter summertime light windows. Like Thailand does nothing. Being close to the equator here it's about 6:30-6:30 AM PM sunlight winter or summer. Since we have no electricity I'm acutely aware of the early evening hours we go to sleep very early and I often wake to the roosters crowing at 5 AM or so. I have no light then as my solar banks are long drained. That brings a funny story. We've seen two king cobras crossing the road one big guy about 12 foot long was 3 feet from our bike 100 percent sure on him. It's the dry season so snakes look for water and finding a venomous snake in the toilet or the water bucket used to flush it is a legit concern. So 5 AM I gotta go. Batteries drained on everything can't even find a lighter on the table go into the pitch blackness. Something brushes against my leg I about jumped 10 feet in the air until I realized it was furry and just Feisty the cat saying hello. I figured with her good sense she knew no snakes were in there. I guess I see practical energy concerns too with my proposal. Want to know the limitations of solar, say? Find out yourself...
No worries you came up with it! If my musings lead to someone creating a meme all the better. That's like a building on a thought and putting it into a vision...
That's precisely what I am saying. They should change it all to daylight savings. When the time zones were created with a majority of America in farming and no electricity, they made sense. When Congress changed to daylight savings in like 1913, that also made sense. Why not just pull the whole year forward the extra hour?
If morning hours are dark that is dangerous for children who have to walk or bicycle to school.
When/where I grew up (in Europe) there was no DST. It had been abolished. My grandfather always said that was a wrong decision. He raved about the additional hours of light DST gave. To me, as a child, changing time sounded ridiculous. Why not change hours of operation where needed ? Several years later politicians brought DST back.
I think we should now leave it as-is. But how you experience it probably also depends on the latitude where you live. (The closer to the equator, the shorter the interval between light and dark in the evening.)
It wouldn't change the number of hours of daylight just the time that the daylight occurs, which has to happen anyways as the sun does not hit all parts of the earth at once. Hence time zones.

The Elmo cocaine one broke me. 😅
Amy, these meme posts are so fun.
Is it still Sunday? Funny it feels like a Monday in the same old civilizational collapse.
It is Sunday-Monday in Tennessee. Deep state, deep time. What is the difference?
All good.
The blown glass raindrops were my favorite.
Exquisite. :)

Masuro Emoto Hidden Messages in Water if memory serves me
Absolutely not Amy! Some of us are more productive and get up to go to work at 5:30=6:00. am....I wiant the sun overhead at noon all year long....
I don't think it would change the sun being overhead at noon! I wake up super early too(

That alone would break me..time differences and MATH!!!
I should have credited you for the inspiration in that meme about Hiroo.

Loved that one!
Love the Escorts one!
I'm saving the Hiroo Onoda meme for when I when up in battle with the mask-addicts.
Time goes back before winter otherwise the morning hours are too dark.

Nope....most of the world has to be at work by 8 am...

Id like to just go with the rest of the world and some states and forget about DST.
It is not necessary...winter or summer.
Depends on where you live. More daylight means less electricity used.
I agree that one state keeping "their own time" and then in one part not, makes life unnecessarily complicated.
