Talk about tricky waters to wade into, Amy.

(I have a post in draft form for weeks on same subject;-I go dip into here and there but haven't completed.)

Once faith is involved, which is so often wound up with religious tradition, (not necessarily the same thing) interpretation is shaped and will usually act to confirm previous convictions, rather than challenge them.

Deep knot to undo - if you even wanted to - since challenging doctrine feels like challenging the intuition of faith. So much resistance built in.

The Hopis and Mayan and Christians all have prophesies about this time. Certainly a version of the world is ending - that needs to go. Will that include the control-matrix bit religion is tied into?

IDK. But I do appreciate Biglino's Naked Bible and Paul Wallis' research which definitely brings non humans into the story.

That our religious stories continue to provide cover for unacceptable behavior can not be denied. Pointing it out never makes one popular. Religion - like everything that's been distorted on our planet - has been used - imo - to control and justify horrors - as much as its been used to glorify God and inspire believers.

Talk about a mixed bag. Good on you, for going there, Amy.

Hebrew Bible Verses.

"DNA Never Lies" By Garcia Wilde https://www.vtforeignpolicy.com/2024/11/dna-never-lies/ "A John Hopkins Genetic Study has concluded that 97.5% of the “Judaica” living in the Zionist settlement known as Israel have no connection to the ancient Hebrews and neither do they have blood ties to ancient Israel. The study also pointed out that 80% of Palestinians carry ancient Hebrew DNA and blood. Another study (New York Genome Centre, 2021) revealed that the DNA of modern Palestinians matches that of Bronze Age people who lived in the Holy Land around 2500-1700 BCE. A third study (John Hopkins School of Public Health) strongly backed the Khazarian Hypothesis, as opposed to the Rhineland Hypothesis of European Jewish (Ashkenazi) origin"............

I have read of this study before and might even highlight it in further posts. I am setting the framework for the pretext of the Israel project, though in reality it was subsumed by people through a system of carrots and sticks with the Bible used as a shield…

I hope you decide to take this story further Amy. Because so much was left out of the Bible at the Councils of Niceae, there is so much more to it than what we see in the Bible.

There’s so many directions to take with it including the books not in the Biblical canon. I just wanted to take a step back and start at the start towards a sometimes difficult but long overdue discussion that I feel must be had for the sake of future generations. With the way things are headed there may not be any if we don’t!

I enjoy your style of writing very much! I don't have much of an opinion on the Bible but appreciate most stories. As it is the most shared and read story in the world, there are probably as many interpretations. I'm open to hearing all of them as I don't feel tethered to any of them. There are many aspects of religion that make me cringe, but the stories are just that... stories. Thank you and I look forward to the next installment.

Thanks for your input! I'm trying to take a big picture view of a story as a story, without imbueing too much bias regarding the other stuff

Who wrote them old religious texts? ... Men who wanted control.

Who wrote the books of Christianity? ... Men who wanted control.

Who wrote the books of Muslim? ... Men who wanted control.

Who creates war? ... Men who want control.

Who holds almost all of the wealth of the world? ... The very same men who want control.

They cannot be very good/smart, because they have been at this game for 8,000 years and still do not have control.

Wonderful post. I believe the Biblical account you covered is actual history (why not?). We don’t always know why God does what God does or allows what He allows, but one takeaway from the histories of Abraham, Sarah, Ishmael, and Isaac is that God tunes into and responds to each of us personally. It follows that our relationships with Him are unique, custom built. Where scripture is open to interpretation, we all have something we can learn from each other, so I’m looking forward to more of what you find.

What do you believe, Amy...... Are we in end times?

This is a good question and I am noy sure. I think things begin anew every day so I prefer this to be viewed as new beginning. Beyond that though I fear that whether we believe we are in end times or not does not matter when we have politicians and leaders pulling the strings behind them that are willing to make it so...
