Given the ridiculous number of infant deaths, stillbirths, and lost pregnancies at all stages, as well as so many young people dying early, I have to wonder how 'life expectancy at birth' graphs can possibly be right. New retirement age is probably 50 at this point.
Disabilities have been skyrocketing for sure. Nobody knows what the future holds, but if every single person stopped dying for a few years the life expectancy would rise concurrent to it exactly. They've never tried to manage keeping a grib on their power during a population contraction...
I'm all for LEGAL immigration of reasonable numbers of people who will contribute to the US.
I'm entirely against ILLEGAL immigration in all cases. No border means no country.
I do worry a bit about using the military but agree that mass deportation is needed to protect US jobs and lives, to reduce government spending on handouts, and to show respect to the people who immigrate legally.
The left has become so extreme (and so absurd) that even the word "illegal" is banned on some platforms (its use resulting in the immediate elimination of comments). The "correct" words are "undocumented non-citizen". The "progressive" (regressive and oppressive, authoritarian and totalitarian) left has become expert at creating euphemisms to hide the truth, which is, in this case, that someone broke immigration laws.
On the same topic, did you know that the new terms for a criminal are "a justice-involved individual" (I am not making this up!)...as if judges, prosecutors and defense attorneys were not also "justice-involved individuals". Oh well, we cannot expect radical ideologues (in other words cult members) to possess any form of functional intelligence.
English sentence: A male ex-con robbed an elderly woman.
Leftist translation: A justice-involved prostate-owner relieved a fourth age uterus-bearer of her alleged personal possessions.
For some reasons I cannot imagine poetry being written by our current crop of leftists.
But then again I understand the leftist point of view...and their concerns for a criminal's feelings. As a matter of facts we all know that lawbreakers have become extremely sensitive lately. They are now all so vulnerable, sensitive and fragile that police work is easy: all a LEO has to do is yell "criminal!", and the perp/suspect, completely devastated, emotionally and psychologically crushed from hearing this traumatizing word, collapses on the ground and surrenders without causing any more troubles. It works better than tasers, proving the left's claims that words are indeed dangerous "weapons" and "mini-aggressions" are more destructive than bullets.
"uterus-bearer of her alleged personal possessions"
Lol, that should be THEIR personal possessions, for maximum woke stupidity and confusion.
I was actually told by a guy at work once that "No person is illegal." That's technically correct. I like being correct, so I've changed and now refer to such people as CRIMINAL aliens, which is 100% truthful and accurate. It is a crime to enter the US illegally, and people who commit crimes are criminals.
So it's CRIMINAL ALIENS from now on. I thank the woke for waking me up about this.
"People who commit crimes are criminals". Yes, but that's using logic and facts. As we know that's not how the left operates...for them, using facts is a form of terrorism, it terrorizes their fragile psyche that is already highly stressed by cognitive dissonance. As far as logic, logic is cruel to them...logic makes them scream and jump up and down like a chimp on crack cocaine.
Which makes me think that wokism either causes mental illness or appeals to the already mentally ill, of which there is no shortage.
Amy, I can understand your nervousness about bringing your husband in now, but you're doing it legally. So there shouldn't be a problem. I'm glad Trump is going to fulfill his promise of deporting those who crossed into our country illegally. It was an obvious move by Biden to amass a huge voting population to help him stay in power and it was done illegally without the approval of our citizens. We should be helping Mexico and other struggling countries to find solutions to their problems for themselves. Not opening up the borders to anyone who wants to come in...... It was a disastrous move and needs to be corrected.
And if it were only Mexico, that would be great. Find Bret Weinstein (Maybe???) and see who ELSE is coming in and where. OMGosh… It’s way more to deal with and scary.
Your husband would be entering the US legally and God knows that you turned every stone to get hold of the necessary papers. So I hope that the both of you won't encounter any trouble when Ka comes legally to USA. Note that Trump talks about deporting illegal aliens, but I recall that he also said that there would be no problem if they returned legally.
I hope you are right and am trying to flesh out what Trump’s real plan is. The martial law thing and Jeff Childer’s seeming support of it raised alarm bells. We shall see how it goes
I understand your concern, Amy. I also never trust government and concede that rounding up illegal immigrants can coincide with martial law falling and/or digital ID.
However, I suspect that the reality will be far more along these lines if we're realistic.
The first to go will most likely be the already-designated violent: the Venezuelan gangs; illegal immigrants who already have a record (such as the ones who beat the NYC cops); etc. Also, illegal workers under refugee status working in transnational American plants.
The other prong will necessarily be the M13 gangs who have been in the U.S. for decades and Mexican drug cartels. If these operations truly become effective, they will have more than enough "bad guys" to locate and fight than concerning themselves with legally admitted immigrants like your husband.
Another route will be cutting off funding for many illegal immigrants who continue to subsist on government-issued debit cards. I would imagine that all federal funding will be stopped.
We'll just have to wait and see, but truly, I don't see legally admitted immigrants as an object for deportation. Of course, once these kinds of operations start, a firm control must be exercised over the implementation which is the wild card here, but I can envision American citizens becoming highly agitated with any brutal means used against more peaceful illegal immigrants with no pity shown toward the gun-toting illegals particularly in gangs.
Hi Amy, you are not alone in your troubles getting Ka a Green Card because of him not being Covid-vaccinated. Riley Gaines is in somewhat same situation like yourself.
"My husband moved to America from England for college 6 years ago. We got married over 2.5 years ago. He STILL doesn't have a green card because he won't get the vaccine. They don't force illegal immigrants to get the jab, just the legal ones,"
She is absolutely correct and the situation is ridiculous and infuriating> Entering the US illegal does not require the covid-jab and provides you with all kind of perks, while trying to enter legally with all required documents is a nerve-wrecking, months/years long uphill battle with petty bureaucratic rules and last-minute surprise-changes of 'what's required' when applying for it.
Thanks for the link on that. Yes if you forego the medical check prior to coming to the USA, which was basically not offered as an option with my husband from Thailand, then the physician check and all jabs including for Covid-19 are still required down the road in the USA. I don't think many people on the outside are aware that this is still a thing. Once they dropped it on the nonimmigrant visas everyone declared mission accomplished and moved on.
I have sympathy for illegals in some cases, precisely because I know how hard it is to do it the legal way and how many people are excluded at some point in the process. Mar, my mother in law, was technically an illegal immigrant to Thailand: she met and wed father Sukwan when she was selling vegetables on the Thai side of the border by crossing the Mekong River by boat from Laos. The Laotian government following the collapse of Communism destroyed the documentation for many of its citizens including Mar, and she was never able to procure legal documents from there. But she lived in Thad Phanom and later Phuket for 50 years and raised four Thai children. Nobody was retarded enough to swoop in and say "You're a criminal go back to where you came from" because that would be stupid and cruel. I think a sensible immigration system should have some types of means testing including length of time in the country, family ties in the country, assets in the country and feasibility for returning to the country of origin. She was a true refugee which is another thing to address: the global forever wars have created a lot of them. But the direct gift cards at the border NGO operations have got to go.
This is inspiring a more thought out post by me...
I would not worry about the deportation of naturalized citizens, or of immigrants who are legal permanent residents. This is a false rumor mostly propagated by leftwing conspiracy theorists. The law stipulates that only those who obtain legal papers under false pretenses or by committing fraud could be stripped of their citizenship or legal status. This is fairly routine, any lie on an official document results in some form of legal penalty.
In the US, both the left and the right are insane...in other words most of the population is batshit crazy. Remember the rightwing spreading false rumors about Obama cancelling the elections, declaring martial law and staying in office forever? Now the left is spreading lies about Trump being a fascist dictator and implementing martial law to deport everyone who was foreign born.
What is it about Americans that paranoia and hysteria are so rampant here? Is it in the air, in the water? Is it an absence of culture and its grounding effects, is it the short history of this nation and a lack of any real, stabilizing roots?
Good questions though I am not sure what stabilizing roots could mean in the context of the American Project. I am only speculating and will take the matters at hand exactly as they come and report back the results. I do worry about the potential of martial law and of vetting everyone for everything because I know well from the inside that this can be a tricky mess all subject to the discretion of who is looking at the paperwork.
I hope Trump makes America Great Again: that he stops the wars, restores law and order to the immigration process, and peels back the layers of fiscal insanity. But it's always been prudent for me to have my guard up to the left boot and the right boot both. Call me cautiously optimistic.
And holy COW, whatever you do, think twice before knocking attorney Jeff Childers of Coffee & Covid fame again, will you please? He has been an absolute lifeline this entire BS pandemic. I have him on a higher pedestal than DJT.
I’m a regular reader of his! I do think he’s been too rah rah Republican for my taste. Is that knocking him? I never got the memo about liking someone’s writing meaning that there can be no criticism of it
I was kinda kidding but I do feel compelled to stick up for him. I’m rah rah republican and he has been SO great for my overall well-being— staying positive when people around me lost their minds and got 4-5 clot shots and so on.
Please see my reply to NYmusicdaily. It alllirs here.
Trump has said repeatedly that he will round up illegal border crossers and send them back from whence they came. If your husband has his ducks in a row, which you’ve been talking abt getting them in a row for 3 years now, so he ought to— them he will be FINE. All
these unfounded fears of some high drama thong Trump is going to do to immigrants are ridiculous. He is going to simply END the parts that truly ARE ridiculous. He is going to end the endless free ride, free gift cards, free hotel stays, and all the accoutrements that go with the original “sin” here, which was walking across the border (definition of border would be great to be -inserted here) without proper paperwork/permission/you know, legal stuff. It takes a license here to FISH. It takes paperwork to cross a border— with good reason. Your husband has that it is soon to get it. Your written feats are unfounded and only serve to stir up trouble where there is none. There’s plenty of trouble to be found without stirring up more. Respectfully, PLEASE allow Trump to get his foot in the door for day, 2 weeks before flushing his ideas to regain order and peace at the border?
It’s something I am keeping an eye on. I agree completely that ALL the absurd incentives from flying people in to free food stamps hotel stays and spending cards need to go. This post seems to have struck quite a nerve…
Speaking of immigrants and moving, it's interesting that the NYC Mayor's office was using an 'anti-pauper' law of 1817 when slavery in NY was being phased out. The final NY emancipation of slaves occurred in 1827. I'm thinking NY was trying to prevent other states' poor emancipated slaves from moving to NY.
"New York City can't use an unconstitutional, two-century-old “anti-pauper” law to block the state of Texas from offering migrants free bus rides to the city from the southern border, a state judge has ruled.
For one, she wrote, states are not permitted to regulate the interstate transportation of people based on their economic status.
The statute also “violates a fundamental right — the right to travel,” she added.
Rosado said requiring bus operators to screen passengers based on the possibility that they may need public assistance when they get to their destination would infringe on that fundamental right, and punishing the bus companies for failing to keep poor people out of the city would be improper.
The judge concluded by saying that if city officials want to do something, they should turn to Congress rather than ask the court to enforce “an antiquated, unconstitutional statute to infringe on an individual's right to enter New York based on economic status.”
Saw this about ago. Podcast with Judge Nap and Ritter. Neither are Trump fans and didn’t even vote for him. It’s good to hear them give him props tho. It’s what I was thinking.
Trump needed to placate the Neocons more IMO. But he couldn’t and still keep his base. So that brings us to now.
At the end of the podcast they listen to Trump’s perhaps most important speech I’ve ever heard and it’s only a couple minutes. He shreds the Neocons so now it’s on as they press for war.
"Imagine if Biden had deployed a state of emergency and troops to round up, I don’t know, “domestic terrorists”, or “misinformation spreaders” or “antivaxxers” in say 2021"
now imagine if trump had deployed a state of emergency and troops to inject the entire population and delegate it to the states to round up, I don’t know, “domestic terrorists”, or “misinformation spreaders” or “antivaxxers” in say 2020.

The difference between the two is, crossing the border illegally, inundating TX, greatly overwhelming their ability to carry on normal operations, then being bussed to Martha’s Vineyard or NYC, given $2000 in gift cards for food and put up in NICE hotels on the taxpayers dime while taxpayers were mostly dead set against it v. “them”/Trump rounding up anti-vaxxers is vast.

illegal aliens from venezuelan jails being bought by soros and catholic/jewish NGOs are a problem and shouldn't be here. the illegal aliens i've worked with for years came in on tourist and student visas, raised families, took shit jobs they were overqualified for just to pay the bills. they're actually contributing to society. important that we differentiate between the two
